I think you're wrong sorry. That same team pushed Man Utd all the way last season, and at the same time were very very competitive in the CL. It's a bit stupid to say that he's bought 'average' players when the same ones are playing for us this season.

the difference between average players and top notch players is that top notch players play well on a consistent basis, game after game, season after season.

Everybody has times when they wont play as well, but kuyt, babel, dossena are examples of players that at times have played well but most of the time have played pretty poorly.

Kuyt's stats last season were 15 - 9 and he had by far and away his best season. This season he has reverted to the kuyt we all know. That's the difference I was trying to make a point of.

Players like benayoun, kuyt, skrtel and arbeloa had exceptional seasons and that combined with the quality of gerrard, masher, alonso, torres, carragher and reina helped us push united all the way.

The fact that skrtel isnt in the team anymore, benayoun has been pretty disappointing this season and that kuyt probably shouldnt be in the team should speak volumes. Our average players played well for a given period.

This season they've gone missing. Next time, if you dont understand the point just ask - otherwise you run the risk of making yourself look like a tit.



we need to get out of this bad patch and we need to do it fast. Unfortunately, I dont think rafa's 'play to my instructions' school of management is what our players need right now. We need someome to motivate the players to go out there and put in 100% effort to win games by any means possible.

Rafa doesnt have the closeness to the players so ask yourself why would the players try harder to save the managers job. Why would they play for him ? They're in a lull, they need lifting and someone at some stage is going to have to perform a minor miracle. Is rafa that man ?

This is why apart from winning matches, nothing else will lift their confidence.

But when Arsenal scored today, the players should have responded. Rafa isn't kicking a ball then no? He's put Aquilani on, which some have been saying will be 'our saviour'. Then he's put on N'Gog and left Torres out on the pitch when he's clearly not sharp enough. This all in the idea 'not to piss off' the supporters, who are so knowledgeable ... He would have been booed if he had done so.
