Lets be honest this was'nt a bad performance, but as soon as the own goal went in, you could see the confidence drop and from that point on the writing was on the wall. We need a bit of luck and everything will be okay, at the moment I feel sorry for Rafa because we are not not getting the rub just now.
I reckon somebody must have pissed Howard Webb off before the game because he made some right dodgy decisions yesterday, even the TV commentators at times were confused why he gave certain decisions against us. Not that we should rely on the referee but at times you need things to fall your way.
My faith in Rafa is waning but I still believe he is the man for us, he just needs the rub of the green in a couple of matches and we will be on our way.
    Keep the faith.

I don't think it's as simple as that. There's a lack of belief, that's the main problem. Fans also don't seem to believe we can win a match. This is very dangerous, we're 10 points off the relegation zone and the tendency is pointing downwards.
You cant say that mate!! You will get shot down by all the rafa lovers.

We are in big trouble and as soon as something goes against us the confidence drains from the team and we have no confidence. This is very dangerous and we have seen time and time again team with this mentality slip right down the table and not recover. Im not talking relegation i am talking getting sucked into the bottom half of the table.

i've never seen a team out play arsenal like we did first half ( although that was mainly down to them being ****e not us being great ) but that second half performance was the biggest pile of ****e i have been witness to for a long long time. no backbone....no fight....no creativity....once benayoun got taken off and out most influencial player got moved to the left side we lacked shape and discipline.....****ing disgraceful by a team of overrated prima donnas......mid table here we come.
People who think there's no good way to die have obviously never heard the phrase 'Drug-fuelled-sex-heart-attack'.

As a club we've lost all belief. We've got the mentality of a small club now, we're as good as Newcastle United these days.

Someone on TLW said Klinsmann was on german tele last night and said Liverpool wanted him as manager!

Personally I think this would cement our mid place in the table, if you saw some of the games when he was in charge of Bayern they were useless, no leadership. If Rafa has to be replaced then I want Jose, st least we will get a laugh from the press conferences.

Still wondering how we didn't get anything from that game.

I love the slating of Johnson, it was just bad luck and these things happen to defenders whether you're Glen Johnson or Paulo Maldini. He's a great player and has been a wonderful addition so far. People saying he's poor are just idiots. He can improve but he's a top full back.

In the first half we played with passion and commitment and got hit with a freak goal and the confidence wained. That shouldn't be surprising considering the run we're on but we'll turn it around and come fourth and Rafa is still the man for the job. Only when the commitment and heart isn't there anymore will I think different, everything else can be turned around given time and some better luck.

The slating of Johnson was moronic to say the least but I think it was purely borne out of frustration by some.

i'm starting to think a majority of the player shave lost the heart for it. no urgency or desire to get back ino the game yesterday.

That's true and we're all disappointed but it's just so poor to slate a player who's been really good because of a freak own goal. Shows a real lack of understanding of our club's traditions and it ain't what I was taught by my dad and grandad on the kop as a kid.

I don't agree, we were just poor in the second half, their lucky goal broke our confidence and it's wafer thin as it is at the moment and then they defended well.

It has to be remembered that most of our best attacking talent, although on the pitch now is still returning to full fitness and isn't as incisive as we'll see it in the coming weeks. It WILL come good and you can see how much all the players want it and care about the cause.
