I wholeheartedly agree with you mate, but knowing some posters I'm giving them the benefit of the doubt. Hopefully they'll resort to better sentiments with the needed perspective.

About the lack of understanding of the values of this club, you're spot on. This club is based on ethos whereby we stick together during good times as well as bad times. It all seems one way traffic these days, when at the first sight of adversity, some just lose it.

i hope your right or else we could face a real battle for a europa lague spot next year. i just want to see a bit more emotion and anger on the pitch. it's just all too quiet by most of the players.

This is not hope, this is a CERTAINTY mate. We are better than this, starting by having a look at yourself and about BELIEVING what that song is all about.

when the going get tough you all come together and fight for the cause and i just dont see the fight.

You really have to look at your captain to be inspirational but he looks the most dejected out of all of them, its as if Rafa has made 1 bad decision to many and Gerrard has thought **** it.

we need heat and bottle at the moment, Arsenal over the last few years have gone through a similar sticky patch i just hope we can too.

There is this stailness about the club that remindes me of the last days of Houllier. My opinion is that we need a fresh approach. 3 wins from 15 isnt Liverpool standard. Rafa has run out of ideas.

I love the slating of Johnson, it was just bad luck and these things happen to defenders whether you're Glen Johnson or Paulo Maldini. He's a great player and has been a wonderful addition so far. People saying he's poor are just idiots. He can improve but he's a top full back.

In the first half we played with passion and commitment and got hit with a freak goal and the confidence wained. That shouldn't be surprising considering the run we're on but we'll turn it around and come fourth and Rafa is still the man for the job. Only when the commitment and heart isn't there anymore will I think different, everything else can be turned around given time and some better luck.
Dunno if it's aimed at me, can't remember what all posted, but what is wrong with stating that he cost us the two goals yesterday? eventhough he was unlucky on the own goal!

On my part it had nothing to do with slating Johnson, he is certainly a very good player, but he had a misser yesterday - and it happens to all players (looking at Carra's number of own goals )

The whole team was woeful in the second half after conceeding, and the confidence is at an all time low tbh.

But saying it's not the "liverpool way" to state when a player made an error is just a weird saying to me - it is far from the same as not supporting the player. I have a feeling that if it was Vornin or Babel that cost two goals, the sentiments would be all the different from many (btw. not aimed at you BFG )

Starting by overhauling the credentials to appoint supporters as season ticket holders, where they're guaranteed a place based on how much they can afford.

It wasn't aimed at you mate and there's nothing wrong with pointing out his mistakes but calling him ****, he's always been **** etc, is completely unfair IMO.

Time after time we arte suffering from terrible results and we all question rafa (and rightly so) then a few days later it clams down and we look to the next game to "kick start" our season and we end up with the same team display and most of the time the same result and we are back to square one.

Even Stevie appears to have lost all faith as it seems rafa had made one error too many and he has said **** it. Just read the interview he gave a week or so ago. He is devastated.

                      That's pure speculation.

                          Apparently Harv's good for that.

Wouldn't mind some of that belief we had against Chelsea in the Champions League last season at the bridge.

I wish people would stop trying to compare with the Houllier days. The only similarity is that we sit back too much when we go a goal up, other than that the comparison is completely false. Back then we had Gerrard, Carragher and Owen who could be considered top class and would get into any other team. We now have Reina, Johnson, Carra, Gerrard, Masher, and Torres (and hopefully Aquilani soon). Back then we played boring negative football and tried to nick games on the break with Owen's pace. Now we play some great possession football at our best, as we did during the first half yesterday. That's not to say there's nothing wrong at the moment, just that I don't think we need anything like the complete overhaul that we needed at the end of Houllier's reign.

For me the only big mistake Rafa made this season (and it's a huge one) is going into the season with just one recognised Premiership standard striker. That was plain stupid and someone needs to take responsibility. If it was because the owners pulled the rug from under him with the transfer budget and he thought he had £20m left to buy a striker then they need to take responsibility, if it's because he thought the squad was good enough as it was then he needs to take responsibility. But rectify that problem in January, and the second half of the season should be better.

The biggest problem at the moment is confidence. The players seem to be expecting to get beat. At one nil up they sit back too much as if they are expecting the opposition to equalise. The only way that will change is by winning games, but it will take time. Form can be lost in an instant, but it's much harder to regain. If we'd managed to grind out a result yesterday then things would have improved. As it stands, we absolutely must get 9 points from the next 3 games. If not, then we'll have slipped further still before going to Villa away, and if we haven't built our confidence up by then and found a bit of form, they'll take full advantage and we'll really be in the **** as far as 4th place is concerned.

Finally, a word on our captain. When their first went in yesterday, Gerrard was stood on the half way line with his head down as if someone had just ran over his puppy. He's got to lead by example - that was an unlucky goal to concede, he should have been lifting the lads and telling them to keep their heads up. They've all got to pull together if we're going to get out of this, and Gerrard's got a huge role in doing that, regardless of how miserable he feels about the situation himself.
