I am not being arrogant and if i am coming across like that then i am sorry. We have seen this time and time again with managers though, Souness, Evans, Houllier and now rafa.
I know you're not arrogant mate but both 'sides' in this debate seem to want to grind each other down without just posting what they think and accepting that other's feel differently, I've done it myself, probably more than you to be fair.

People have every right to question pretty much everything at the club at the moment but I'm just so sure we'll come good and get fourth and then be a completely different team next year.

Apologies for not reading through this whole thread before posting, but the main points I would like to make are:

        1. Bring Stevie G back to CM. This could spark off a whole new debate which I don't really want right now, but for me Stevie is and always will be a CM. And one of the very best in the world at that.

        2. Get another striker up front for home games. We must play 4-4-2. Too many times we have half decent balls into the box and Torres is too isolated or not even in the box!! Personally I would start with Pacheco and take it from there.

        3. Seriously consider GJ as a RM. I knew he would be vulnerable at the back and we are letting in goals for fun from the oppositions left because of his defending problems.

We were outsanding in the first half yesterday and then we just seemed too cautious at the start of the second before lady luck ****ed right out of Anfield yet again. I hope Rafa lets the team off its reigns as he did in the last 10 or 12 games of last season - especially at Anfield.

Take an orange and a peeler.
Face west, looking into a mirror and peel the whole orange in one go.
Throw the entire peel over you left shoulder chanting YNWA.

The answer will appear in the mirror over your right shoulder.

It just turns into a slanging match at the end of the day but for me it is not just about the results it is also

Our style of play all season and pre season
Lack of depth in the squad (Not just rafa's fault there)
              Mind boggling tactics
Players who have been poor all season seem to be undroppable
Lack of creativity and guile when things get tough
Players who play very well one game dropped for the next.

Look i was one of Rafa's strongest supporters but this season has pushed me too the limits.

We lost Alonso and replaced him with a player who was injured (whom rafa said would only be out for 5 weeks and yet almost 5 months later has not started a league game as of yet. This gamble has not payed off.

If the injury took this long to heal why not wait until next summer to sign him and use the £20m to sign a strike partner for Torres which we all thought would be addressed in the summer.

We could have coped a lot better with Gerrard back in the middle with Mash and Benni playing off Torres. We should not be playing 2 defensive midfielders at home. Mash can do that job himself as we need someone pulling the strings in the middle.

Rafa just seems to be the type of manager that would rather not lose the match than go for the win as too many times we try to defend a 1 goal lead and loose that lead then go on to lose.

It's the nature of Rafa Benitez than when things aren't going well everything he does can be interpreted as being quite strange but when we're playing well these things don't even get noticed or sometimes are even praised.

I think we signed Aquilani because Benitez was charged with finding a player as good as Alonso but with half the money that Alonso had just been sold for. It was either get cut price player because of a poor injury record or take a punt on a promising youngster. Hopefully in the long term we'll see Aqualani flourish and people will see the sense in it. I'm sure that it wouldn't be seen as such an issue had things been better in general and we'd not been playing with a skeleton 11 for much of the season. If Rafa had gone for a striker instead he'd have been crucified for only having Lucas and Mascher for the middle. He can't please everyone.

I'm not sure who you mean when you say individuals have played poorly all season and still get picked. I don't think anyone in the 11 on Sunday falls into that category.

I think we're playing poorly so our style of play is bound to look disjointed and uninventive but I think we play some great football when we're on form. We were great to watch last year.

In my eyes this has to be viewed as a season of transition as a big player in our system has left and we're having to introduce a replacement who's very different in the way he plays so the team needs to gel over the whole season. I still think we'll have enough to come top 4 though and then have a proper crack at it next year.

The player whom i am referring to most is Dirk Kuyt mate. Yes he scored yesterday but he has been a shadow of the player we saw last season. We should give Johnson a go at the right wing

Agreed - Degen at right back (if he can stay injury free!!)

Has Degen ever actually played left back before?

in the first 15mins when we were all over them, i think kuyt got the ball 4 or 5 times, he miscontrolled it a couple, placed 1 pass out for a throw and generally looked ****e

He would be a great impact sub to come on for the last twenty when teams are tired but he just isnt good enough to play week in, week out for a top team
