To be fair last season they had a very thin squad and he has improved that this year. I don't think they will implode but they will drift down the table a bit as they have been playing at their maximum and other than Downing coming in I don't think there is anything more they can do. I counter-guarantee we WILL NOT be playing Champions League football next season.
Me, I'd sell Torres for £80m, Monster for £30m, Rafa resigns savings us £20m and we give the £110m to a new manager. I think we'd be a stronger team with £110m on 5 top class players than with Torres and the current squad.
I am assuming we don't sign 5-6 Glen Johnson's by the way. What a terrible signing we've made there, truly awful.Comment
