It's a massive problem. We need a change from the top, it's the only way forward.

          Kenny? heart over head

O'Neill? My choice for years, players would always give 100%
Nicol? Ex Red, one of my favourite players, not sure what his record in US is like these days
Hodgson? Is he better at lower level, could he inspire big names?
Coyle? take a punt that he's the next big thing?

          Jose, Hiddink - unlikely

Someone else from abroad? not really kept tabs on the foreign game for the last couple of years.

I'd rather a british manager if possible just because I feel they get what our league is about. No settling in period and they won't have a bias for french or spanish players.

There must be a number of managers that could get our players playing as a team again. Rafa appears to have lost the respect of some of the key players imo.

No we shouldn't change now. Decision time is at end of the season, not now.

Houllier certainly had a bias for French players thoughout his time here, and Rafa brought in alot of spanish players initially but his last Spanish signings alot of managers bring in players that they know or from a league they know that's natural.

Looking at the list you've given there's no one there that I'd want, O'Neill is probably the best there but why would he leave Villa to come here? It's more pressure, expectations are higher, Villa have more money, they have decent owners who back him and aren't casting a shadow over the club, plus they at present have a better chance of making the CL next season than we do.
The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

Will you still say that if we slide down the league to the depths?

In fact why would any top manager want to take Rafa's job at the moment?
We are not very appealing packet are we... Evaluate the situation at the end of the season, we are not NUFC.

2 messiahs in one season, worked really for them as well.
