do we actually know this or is this based on a report in the daily fail which is well known for is precise and accurate reporting!

We're talking on the proviso that the article is true

well you know that's a daft proviso for a start

the daily fail seems to enjoy stirring things up about us and what we're up to, probably some truth in their being negotations for him to move on but not as black and white as they make it out to be.

I hate that paper I really do!!

Remember Winston Bogarde and his £40k a week at Chelsea? He was well chuffed to pocket that and DJ in London through the week.

yup I remember that it happens but let's not tar Jovanovic with the same brush as him just yet.

If he was at an advanced stage in a transfer discussion with another Club, I could understand him pulling a figure out and saying so to the Club, but I haven't heard that's the case. So how has he come up with 2.5 million squids ?

I agree it's not his fault that he has been given such a lucrative contract, but he hasn't performed well enough to establish himself in the first team. It annoys me that in football crap players and managers are rewarded and compensated so generously for being failures. People say stuff like "it doesn't matter because it's not my money", but it is. We're paying ridiculous prices to watch matches to pay wages for utter ****e like Jovanovic. Not his fault, but irritating nonetheless.

TBH I don't think he's been given much of a chance to prove himself but that's another matter entirely. Kenny sees the players on the training park every day not me so he knows best

When he has been given an opportunity to prove himself he has proven himself to be ****. I don't care what a player does on the training ground, I care about his performance when it matters.

Yeah but everyone looked ****e with the Bodge in control

I hated the way Jovanovic was always looking for the safe back-pass. I had high hopes/expectations when we signed him. Very disappointing.

It begs the question though, is that his natural game or is he following instructions from the Bodge ? I think the later but the fact that Kenny (yes that's KK for some of you ) hasn't played him is a concern as to his future with us.

He played for Dalglish against Blackpool and made Poulsen seem half decent.

I think you're missing the point. It's simply a case that legally he is entitled to expect LFC to honour the terms of his contract. If LFC want to change arrangements that disadvantage him he is,again legally, entitled to stand his ground. It doesn't mean people like it, it just means they understand that's the way of the world.

I'm sure he's as keen to sort this out and move on as LFC are.
