Its not that radical a thought, 60k a week wages and a £3m signing on fee and theres your 120k a week.

Yep. Still the fact he receives £120k a week from us - if true (and it's been said all along he was on £60k) - is depressing. Ridsdale-esque.

Thats so much money. I know its stating the obvious. But Jesus. £120,000

Thats the same as it cost to buy a house. He is paid a 2 bedroom house every week.

The article states 'wages' though, doesnt it? There's no way he's on £120k p/w basic wages. Not a chance.

Add up wages, signing on fee, bonuses, sponsorship deals, image rights and the rest - and yeah, maybe equates to £6m a year.

A 2 bedroom house every week for going to training for a couple of hours every morning.

No, he's probably 'on' about 40 grand a week, but when he signed he got a joining bonus of £4m which was paid in 12 monthly installments, or something similar.

Edit: Apologies for my bender-esque tardiness.

Well he's not really, is he? Half of it goes into the treasury

Yeah and it says hes getting his signing on fee in his wages for the first year.

The article says 'earn' rather then specifying wages. But then earn is even less accurate.

What does the treasurer do with all these bedrooms?
If we are all only happy when we are really winning in the end, when your race finishes, what life would that be?

Claims them as a parliamentary expense

I know footballers wages are mind boggling, but if this is true it is just mad. For a good footballer this is ridiculous money, but for Jovanovich it's off the planet. He is utter gash. Himself and his agent must look at each other and laugh. How does a club like Liverpool agree to pay a footballer as poor as he this much cash to display his pathetic wares? FFS he was playing in Belgium at 29. There is a reason why players are still in Belgium at 29 and it ain't out of choice, or love of the EU institutions. It's cos they're utter sh**

I don't entirely agree, but I fully understand what you are saying. I just liked the fact that he's riled you so much you felt the need to use your annual quota.

For the first time ever I actually purposely clicked on another profile (yours) to see your other posts and you do seem to have a bit of common sense and should post more often.

Rafa was involved in the negotiating of the Jovanovic contract at the very least hee gave the green light for Purslow to agree that sort of deal
