Crazy as it seems, Masch being out for that period of time, might just be a blessing in disguise.
Aquilani coming in, Gerrard dropping back.
We'll see..
I posted the same on another thread I just hope Rafa doesn't put Damien P in that would be the last straw for me I think , here's hoping Rafa will do the sensible thing

Well unfortunately if Gerrard does play his usual role behind Torres, then I'm afraid it is gonna have to be Plessis, Spearing or Fabio Aurelio in central midfield with Lucas because Aquilani has now injured his calf - that's why he wasn't even on the bench against Pompey.
I suppose it's Rafa's fault that he doesn't have many alternatives when 2 of his 1st choice midfielders are injured hey guys ffs?!

I had the same feeling at the time - Gerrard Lucas seems a decent pairing in the middle especially in this sort of game. I'm not sure Aquilani will start though.
I can see Benayoun, Kuyt and Babel behind Torres (although if fit Riera may be an option).

The Prince of Saudi Arabia has revealed that he will be attending Liverpool's Boxing Day clash with Wolverhampton Wanderers, as he bids to acquire a 50% stake in the club.
Prince Faisal bin Fahad bin Abdullah revealed on Saudi television that he will be attending the Reds' early-evening clash at Anfield on Saturday as a guest of current owner George Gillett.
Prince Faisal attended Liverpool's win over Hull City in September with Gillett to rubber-stamp a deal to build club-accredited academies in the Middle East.
However reports in Saudi Arabia suggest that he is now planning to broker a deal with the American for the sale of his Anfield shares.
Despite pocketing $300 million (£1.87m) from his sale of Canadian ice hockey franchise, the Montreal Canadiens, Gillett has been reportedly looking for a swift exit from Liverpool with bin Abdullah's sports investment group F6 expected to offer him a lifeline out of his Anfield nightmare.
Both he and business partner Tom Hicks have incurred the wrath of supporters after saddling the Reds with hundreds of millions of debt and reportedly ordering manager Rafael Benitez to salvage the Premier League outfit's season on a reduced tranfer budget as they try to make repayments on the club's loans.
I still think it was a mistake letting him goal. He's a decent squad player and on his day he can chip in with a few goals...especially against the Mancs.
He wanted to go; we had little choice. And I think his attitude has not always been great (ie at the end of his time at Charlton, and when at Spurs). But he could do a good job for us in the 'Alonso role', and we need someone who can do that week in and week out and I am starting to have a bad feeling about Aqulinai's long-term fitness.
I don't manage to get to Anfield as often as i would like due to me living 100 miles away and there rarely being any tickets available. However iv managed to get 2 tickets Vs. Wolves on Boxing Day!
When I got through to the ticket office the advisor gave me a choice of tickets. The first set were in the main stand in the 25th row more or less in line with the centre circle. The second set were also in the main stand but in the 8th row in line with the penalty spot (going towards the Anfield Road end).
I didn't really know which ones to choose, so i chose the 2nd set in the 8th row. What do all you regulars reckon, have i made the right choice? Are they good seats?
The last time i went to Anfield i sat about 5 rows from the back of the top of the Anfield road stand (restricted viewing), and those seats were poor!

If i'm honest, i've always thought that seats on the half way line are perfect for watching a game of football...maybe not the best for atmosphere, but seeing as Anfield is always rocking (bet fans in the world, you know?) then atmosphere won't be a problem!
I love that photo, partly because of Self-Serving Soul-of-a-Rat-Turd Cunting-Judas-Boy's face, and partly because I can't help wondering if Super Danny's muted celebration was due to feeling too depressed at Liverpool's current predicament to fully enjoy scoring against those *******s.
I was gutted when Murphy was sold 5 years back and have never lost my affection for the guy. We sure could do with his brains and desire to win right now.
