i think that's a real possibility, but don't know how probable it might be. i'd like to believe he would stay, but people let you down sometimes. i feel like he would probably remain a red, but i think we should accept the possibility that he might not hang around if we aren't looking a lot better come may.

although i hope he would of course.

Ok this is the start of something unbelievable ... **** 4th .. we are winning the Lg

            DARE TO BELIEVE
12 points is huge BUT with the others well below par at the moment you never know.
However until we start playing football there isn't a snowballs chance in hell.

If we beat Villa on their own turf on Tuesday night the impossible just may become possible.

fair point but if we don't beat villa on tuesday then they players might as well forget it as even now as poor as our season has been were still in with a shout but the players have to grow some balls

This only should have been the season we won if we had managed to keep the experience we had gained last season this year. I always feared the need for a transition season this year when we sold Alonso. It's deeply annoying that when we finally put together a squad with the needed elements Real and the financial situation mean we can't even hold the squad (let alone add to it).

Given the state of the clubs finances relative to other clubs in the division I think that good management of ourselves and Arsenal means we should mount serious challenges ever other season or so. It's taken Wenger the best part of a decade to get their current squad built up as players to the standard they are now and be developing young players to bulk up the squad.

It's easy to look at the way the season has panned out an wish we had done better but I really think that what it has shown is the importance of leaders who keep the team playing tactically as the manager wants them to. The likes of Giggs, Scholes and Vidic (when available) at United and Lampard, Ballack and Terry at Chelsea have kept them together whereas I do feel that Gerrard, Torres, Carragher and Mascherano are too emotionally driven and inclined to try and do everything. I guess the fact Gerrard and Torres have been limited in their inspirational qualities by injuries haven't helped.

don't want to criticise the signing of Aquilani but not having a player coming in at the start of the season to match Alonso's class has made a huge impact on us
