It's an interesting one - especially with all the rumours earlier in the season that Rafa wanted to keep him as cover but was being told to sell. Who plays against Reading will probably be telling. You have to think if Rafa has been putting Kyriagakos and Skrtel on the bench that it is likely that Carragher will be asked to cover fullback unless he was waiting for Kelly to regain fitness.

I really hope though that we stick to Carragher - Agger as the partnership in the middle.

Most of the people on this forum slated Degen before he had even kicked a ball for us but a few people have now changed their opinions after a few of his performances this season. I think he's a decent player but his crossing is very poor and that is his biggest let down as his pace and movement gets him into good crossing positions.

I think Kelly is a fantastic prospect, moreso than the likes of Ngog, Pacheco. Whilst you normally have to wait for these young players to develop physically, Kelly is already beast and is ready. His crossing is great and the way he cuts back and then crosses with his left is almost Finnan like. He was very good against Lyon. I hope Kelly is fit though for the weekend but having said that, I would still like to see Degen play.

Darby I dont rate in the slightest - we may aswell write him off. He wont be at Liverpool in the next 2 years.

              Kelly > Degen > Darby

I dont think he'd ever play Carra out there for more than the odd game so Degen or Kelly (if fit) will get a chance.

Kelly must be kicking himself, he'd have had quite a few more games already this season.

Kelly is still a couple of weeks away from being ready.

The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

Not seen any further updates on here but the Mirror claim he'll be out for 3 months

I hate to put it this way, but I think we'll put a run together whilst he is injured.
                              Really?
