Is Lucas really worse than Diao or Ferri?

when i 1st saw him warm up i thought he'd won a prize to warm up with the 1st team

Lucas ain't the worst player to play for us in the middle by a long long way.

Important part of his career he wasn't getting games, he obviously does a role Rafa wants.

Think the problem is playing both him and Masher.

Tonight he was along side a poor Stevie.

If Lucas ever reaches the heights that other Liverpool players have and earns the right to be called "A class player" then I will take my hat off to you (and him), but I believe my hat will stay frimly on my head, and calling Lucas class demeans all the Liverpool players who have had the right to be called class.
BTW, it couldn't have been me, I never lost a semi final!

As an self confessed expert on amateur footy I can see how Sean sticks in your mind

He was, bless him, amateurish in the extreme.

On a more serious note, today if only they'd played like amateurs at least their heart and soul would have been in it.

Lucas or no Lucas,( love him or hate him) sadly the team didn't perform well enough.

This whole Lucas replacing Alonso thing is well unfair on the lad, he was at the club well before we sold Alonso and has been encouraged by the manager to develop into a holding midfielder rather than a forward moving creative one. Its not his fault neither Aquilani who was bought to replace Alonso, or Gerrard, or anyone else, have taken up the role as yet and he's been left playing there instead. Its also not his fault we've become far less composed at the back leaving him with so much donkey work to do.

Its a poor state of affairs really, but Lucas has been one of our consistently better players for the last couple of months, especially when not played with Masch who has been very patchy. Their combination just exacerbates our all round problems at the moment.

Lucas is one of the worst central midfielders I've seen at the club in 35 years,to be able to play in that position you should be able to at least tackle or pass the ball, he can do neither, replacing Alonso with him is like replacing a Rolls Royce with a push bike.

You should get glasses then, you clearly haven't looked at all. Lucas has been about our best passer and tackler this season. You are disgraceful.
