I am not very optimistic about the league, City have a feel good factor, hunger and good players/squad depth.

I thought he showed some fight and desire, deserves to start against Stoke IMO.

**** it, give me the job. Sounds like a piece of piss.
Performance of the team is a symptom of bad results. They play **** because they're devoid of confidence and are playing with anxiety. I expect highly paid professional footballers to sort their 'confidence problems' themselves rather than a manager acting like a colonel. Fact also is that some of them are paid more than the manager.

We were winning until we started to panic as Reading were throwing the kitchen sink at us. Before that, our substitutes couldn't build on our advantage and put this game to bed. This has been a recurring theme this season. We were at our best last season when we were playing with abandon, whilst still applying the basics of Rafa's system. We were nearly unbeatable for the best part of two months.

The manager will get the sack, will resign etc ... because it's always like that. Then we'll be rebuilding again, maybe from as far down as mid table mediocrity, with no money whatsoever, and with our major players going on to pastures new.

I expect all the bashers to be happy by then. Rafa will be gone.

Rafa has lost the dressing room, none of the players are busting a gut to win games. We are going to finish outside the top 10 nevermind the top 4, change is needed now!!!!
Gerrard's body language says it all, surely someone else can do better with what we have got?!!? Does anybody think Carra has passed his sell by date, How many times lastnight did he just punt the ball forward to no one at all!?! Surely someone who kicks and uses a ball every single day of the week can't even kick or pass a ball 20 yards???!??!??!?

Diego Cavalieri (Not Liverpool Standard, Championship at best)
Jamie Carragher (Totally past it, rabbit trapped in headlights)
              Philipp Degen (??????)
Daniel Agger (Looks lost & exposed , getting no protection)
              Emiliano Insua (Not good enough)
Steven Gerrard (Too reliant on him)
Alberto Aquilani (Too early to say, showed some nice passes)
Lucas Leiva (Why on earth is he a Liverpool player?)
              Dirk Kuyt (Headless chicken)
Fernando Torres (Can't do it himself)
              Yossi Benayoun (Too predictable)

Martin Skrtel (What has happened to him, looked a world beater 1 year ago)
David Ngog ( Championship 1 player)
Ryan Babel (Total waste of space)

if gerrard and torres are missing at the weekend then stoke will be rubbing their hands in glee.

Why have you picked him out? He's the back up keeper ffs, and played well last night. He's a decent keeper and it would be very difficult to find better who is prepared to play understudy to Reina.

Just get to 40 points and write this season off, then new manager and new ideas.

if only was that simple. we NEED top 4 finish or we're ****ed. you wont attract the best players without CL football. we have to compete with the big pay packets of city, the night life in london with spurs and the glamour of chelsea /. manure. we cant buy the best without competing with the best. get top4 then write it off.

while we might not get it, we cant afford to write the season off. we NEED top 4. it is that simple.

If I was Rafa I'd leave this club and forfeit the money. He's bigger than this bunch of overrated footballers that are playing for him. 'King Kenny'

Why are people always referring to our past?

We have been a club living on our past for too long and that's why we're there in the first place, it's as if every Liverpool supporter is born with a ****ing spoon in his mouth and expect silverware every season. We aren't fit enough at the moment to even aspire to playing in the top 4, names on a team sheet are just that, names, overrated football 'superstars'. For all the 'silky' touches '& passing' that we put together last night, Reading were putting double the amount of effort to close us down.

The players have ruined Rafa's 5 year legacy. He won't be manager next year and our club will be going downhill next, no money to even pay a top class manager (of which there's no one matching Rafa's pedigree out there) and no money to buy top class players. I can see us being relegated two years down the line. Even we as supporters expect defeat those days.

Just accept that we're not a great club anymore, it will make it all the more bearable.
Jesus Christ, what a load of ****e. I don't even know where to start. You keep blaming the players for letting Rafa down and yet you ignore the fact that they are his players!!

We as supporters expect defeat? Erm id say we are negative because we can see that the team isn't good enough and the manager keeps making mistakes.

A big part of me loves Rafa for making us a powerhouse in european football during his reign but the whole time we have been poor in the league. Barring 3/4 months of last season we have constantly played negative football against bottom half clubs who we should have been sweeping away.

This is the worst season in memory and it keeps getting worse. We won a couple of league games recently because Rafa was forced to drop his 2 defensive midfield combo because Mascher got suspended. Either he has become even more stubborn or he can't see the obvious anymore.

I feel for the man because he has given it his all but its just not working. This is the worst season in many many years. I have no doubt that he has been hampered by financial problems but that doesn't cover up his mistakes over the past year

We do have average players at the club, ffs, it's because as a rule we pay average prices.
