Looks like you don't have a clue feller as Crouch was here when we signed torres and Torres was bought with money we loaned from the bank.Originally posted by Armchairkopite View PostMy God you dont have a clue.
The money from Crouch and Bellamy was used to buy Torres Voronin cost a packet of chrisps.
Ignorance beyond belief by some fans on here, how many times does it need to be said.

I've watched enough football over the years to know whether its of a decent quality or not. I don't need the likes of you defending and explaining away the bile thats been served up for periods over the last 10 years.
But hey you have a bigger IQ than me so you obviously know better.

leadership is our problem. ngog a shining light as are insua, agger and lucas. young players giving their best game in game out. the rest can hang their heads in shame and learn a thing or two about attitude.
yanks, rafa, stevie, carra and kuyt should all know better and be able to motivate and lead by example. all of them are to blame more than anyone. tossers

- loss of alonso without a player of similar quality to replace him
- poor signings made from the last couple of transfer windows
- injuries to key attacking players (torres and gerrard) withour adequate backup. This should have been addressed in the summer
- a lack of 'class' from wide positions means we predictably come narrow
- loss of form from key players (carragher, kuyt, and gerrard)
- limited money to purchase the quality of player we need to overthrow man utd and chelsea
- turmoil behind the scenes from the owners
- poor run of form that has spiraled
- a loss of confidence from set pieces
- some old fashioned bad luck
i think that's everything. rafa has to take his share of the blame, but so do the owners and the players. i dont believe rafa has suddenly become a bad manager in 6 months. there are lots of factors affecting the performance of the team at the momentK ris90210

I think the problem we are now seeing is that we generally only have either enough money to strengthen the first 11 or the squad. This summer was slightly different as we had to replace the out going players. For the past couple of years people have been complaining that we have been signing 'squad players' rather than top class players for the first team, this year we've signed players for the first team, and it's highlighted our lack of depth in the squad.Originally posted by kris90210 View Post- loss of alonso without a player of similar quality to replace him

The owners have to take their share of the blame on this because the lack of funds prevented us from improving the squad, all our money went on replacements for the out going Alonso, Arbeloa and Hyypia. The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.
