For the record, Torres plays 'up top by himself' for Spain.
        He's usually pretty isolated.

And doesn't he play alongside Villa for Spain ?

Loads of strikers play up top on their own, in fact very few teams play with two out and out strikers.

So why aren't the rest of 'em injured all the time?

It's just rotten luck if you ask me. Fowler, Owen, Torres...all of our best strikers, injured all the ****ing time.

I thought he only played up front alone for Spain when Villa was injured and they changed the formation? Normally he and Villa play together, with Torres taking a more supporting role.

Can Torres get his hernia done at the same time?

                  Can Gerrard raise a smile?

Can we get rid of our Physio/Conditioning team?

Can we drop all the players who aren't giving 100%, play some reserves and make the 1st teamers work their way back into the team?

Villa usually plays in the same 'withdrawn' role that Stevie plays.

Currently 5 points behind a confident City, and 4 behind an equally confident Spurs. That's not to mention Villa either.

Under normal circumstances it would be tough, but I'd fancy it. Under present FUBAR conditions it seems nigh on impossible

surely if nando out for 6 weeks with cartlidge op, we could just schedule him for groin / hernia at same time and give 6-8 weeks recoup time now.

We seem to thrive in recent years when looking dead, thats about the only positive I can think of and given the form for months now its scraping the barrel bigtime.

Wouldnt be so bad if we could get in a striker but the best we could afford is probably Eintracht Frankfurts 7th choice on loan.
