These injuries might infact have good points if we get some of the younger team up there, obviously after the FA cup defeat we saw a terrible Liverpool, Gerrard doesn't have the right mentality to even be captaining the team right now in my opinion. As for Torres he's been due for a hernia op anyway, so lets get him fixed up now while he's bust his knee. The worst of any players we could lose but we move on.

Some fresh youngsters thrown into the squad and keep the likes of Lucas and Babel on the bloody bench. Play some wider football with Maxi on the wing and start playing some flowing football, and seeing some spark in the players. I think a few of the youngsters can bring that to the squad and hopefully Maxi too.

We need to get another striker in though because as we might be able to fill the squad in with youngsters and we might pull it off well, we still need an experienced striker to get a goals. A loan deal or anything needs to happen now, as for who I haven't a clue.

As for signing players, we need to sign a good defender to replace carra. We need another striker to go up with Torres, he can't do it on his own, defenders are all over him giving him far less space and the rest of our team is shocking and can't work the ball into open space so a new good supporting striker is what we need to open up the play a little. I don't know how good Maxi is but if he can play the ball wide and provide some good wide balls and flowing passes then that will be perfect.

The best thing to do now is bring in some new faces to freshen up the team because everyone else is just feeling sorry for themselves which is pathetic.

If we do manage 4th, and Rafa would have to be a saint to do it, then I say he's the man for the Job. He's got us far before when things have been looking bad, we can do it. Even if we don't get 4th and see some good football coming out of Liverpool then I'll be happy.

I think a defeat at Stoke with a City win will put us out of the race for fourth. If that happens we should start blooding some of the younger players. Pacheco, Nemeth, Kelly deserve a chance.

anybody else getting a bit worried about nando's injury's. he seems to be picking up random injuries at a regular interval. hopefully he'll get over them but a worry he might end up like michael owen. great talent to never fulfill his potential due to persistent injuries.

Cant wait to see our younger players in the next couple weeks. At least I hope Rafa lets them play. Perfect time to show us what we have to look forward to in the future. And if some of them actually work out really well it could mean alot of money saved for next season.
