Poll - Should Rafa stay?

I don't think I've ever seen Rafa this down.
He looks and sounds like a man who's about to face the firing squad.

He also mentioned about having to support Torres more.
Pop at Gerrard perhaps?

na i wouldn't say so from yesterday - he started gerrard in alongside lucas at centre mid - the support for torres yesterday should have come from kuyt/yossi/maxi as the more forward players.Originally posted by Shanks View PostI don't think I've ever seen Rafa this down.

I actually don't know what formation we played last night? anyone?
we should have played kuyt as centre forward working their back four providing support for torres, getting into the box as much as possible, etc - kuyt looked he didn't know where he was playing - at half time if kuyt was a horse, he would have been shot.......we then should have put babel on, and again played him as a striker alongside torres.
the more i think about, the more i am just baffled by last nights tactics - i mean i just don't get them - i think the personal was right but just the set up, tactics, mentality completley wrong, and there is definalty some confusion between what rafa has in his mind and what the players do on th epitchi own everton fans on the internet....that's what i do

What dream world tells you we're gonna get £50m for Gerrard?Originally posted by PeteBest View PostGerrard has got to go and Rafa probably knows it. I think he'll be the big casualty this close season. We're going to pocket £50m for him and we'll rebuild. That's what I want anyway. Rafa just ****ing do it.
And if we did, you really think it'd be invested into the team?

You dont blame Rafa at all for anything, let alone 'entirely'.Originally posted by PeteBest View PostI feel the same mate and that's why I can't entirely blame Rafa for what's happening this season.
Do you honestly and genuinely think that if we just sold Gerrard, it'd be magically sorted? Problem solved?Originally posted by PeteBest View PostI think Rafa's main problem is to play Steven Gerrard. He should be sold.
I dont know what it is you're smoking mate, but i'd love some of it.

You said the same thing for Houllier, now 6 years down the line the same old arguments are being used. What next?Originally posted by Craig_H View PostYou dont blame Rafa at all for anything, let alone 'entirely'.

Very confused..Originally posted by S-RED View PostShould Rafa stay or go?
Rafa should be sacked straight away.
Unless Rafa finishes 4th he should be sacked.
Regardless of what happens he deserves 1 more season, he will get it righ
I'm so confused that i want to vote for all three of these
(
There are FOUR options there and not three..

sort of...i've always thought that SG was a bigger problem than a solution to rafa. part of me sees why on the basis of the way he might actually be affecting the team with his ****ed up sulky attitude but part of me thinks that rafa having a probelm with SG is just evidence of his suspicion of unpredictable flair/talent. how can it be that he got the absolute best out of him playing behind torres and on the right - even the left ffs - but that it looks like we're now at a stage where we play better when our best player doesn't play?
this thread and the one with the craig h/lecter conversation are really making me think hard about where we are and although i'm becoming less clear about what the actual problems really are, their magnitude is increasing in my mind all the time. we could be so, so ****ed. leeds style.Felching ≠ Gerbilling
