Liverpool v Stoke - Post match anguish thread

Can we try to keep it all in here please rather than a ton of different threads?

Well that was ****. Dire game, total lack of attacking ideas from us. And we're not good enough to sit on a lead, even against a team as poor as Stoke were. Should have had 2 penalties but even then....

The Greek did ok, apart from him (and Reina) the rest were very poor.

I could not dig, I dared not rob:
Therefore I lied to please the mob.
Now all my lies are proved untrue
And I must face the men I slew.
What tale shall serve me here among
    Mine angry and defrauded young?

We were a whisker away from a great win. What a fantastic move at the end. When your luck is out, it's out.

          The equaliser was inevitable.

We sat back far too much after scoring. Inviting a team with Stoke's dead ball abilities to attack was always asking for trouble given the way we defend them.

What more can I add to that apart from we are, at this moment in time, an appalling excuse of a football team and it is a sad sad time to be a Liverpool FC fan

Another kick in the teeth. I am getting used to this now and sadly I think the team is as well.

I thought it was a good performance in the circumstances and we were really unlucky. As you say, when your lucks out...........

we offered no threat really, ngog & kuyt wouldnt start up front for everton ffs

the squad is a mile off where it needs to be, we played a team today that feared stoke, it should be stoke fearing us.

now, unfortunately, there is only one way to stop the rot imo

                        Frustrating.

                        Why the Ngog sub?

He may aswell have brought Pacheco on if he's gonna mess around like that.

I'm Sure Rafa signalled to the fans with what seemed like an adios type of salute and keep your heads up high gesture im sure about it ,just when they scored

I'm not sure winning away at Stoke qualifies as "great". Good maybe, but really, there's no way you can seriously tell me you watched that game and thought it was anything other than dire. From both teams admittedly, but we really haven't got a clue in the opposition half, and after we scored started playing FAR too deep.

Its all just gone so wrong. I don't think Rafa's going to make the end of the month at this rate.
