But no bring on spurs and lets watch us get spanked. We can ask the same question come wednesday night.

You have to also ask yourself does rafa want to get sacked ? Yes the ref was an idiot today and someone has to look at Lee Mason because he has made some horrendous decisions, but when you get to the point where you rely on penalties to win you matches its time to walk away.
Utter ****e short termism. What use would sacking Rafa do? Because of just one bad season. Seriously it is this stupid **** and instant gratification that is what is most worrying about society as whole. It is moronic.

Well we weren't relying on a pens at all, but we have little in the way on available attacking plays as Torres, Gerrard and Yossi are injured, Reira has just come back and Maxi has only just signed.

    Ill thought out crap.

Having said that if it's choice between him and Heskey I'd take Jones in an instant.
Well if we are going to get him I would be surprised if it's before the Spurs game as he is playing today (It think as there is a Jones in the line-up on BBC site and in a forwards position of a line-up) against the Chavs who have just taken the lead against a very tough to play against Sunderland (well tough when we lose to them).

If we were a horse we would have been taken out the back and shot a long time ago. Something has to change and if rafa stays the owners should let him sign a striker. Get Turan in the lad is fantastic and also get a striker in i don't care who but anyone we get will be an improvement on what we have not.

I would even have Ricky Lambert from Southampton as at least he knows where the net is.

Really not the right game him, he'd be kicked all over the place.

Well I'm totally gutted but I cannot believe the drivel being written on here.

We were never, ever, EVER gonna go there today and play champagne football. The performance IMO was just what the doctor ordered. FFS we showed heart, guts and some ****ing fight for once. I've been wondering if those players cared, especially after Reading, and now I know they do. They really do. So in that sense I'm pleased.

Reina was outstanding, as were Lucas and Kyrgiakos. Skrtel was much better, as was Insua.

We got back to basics and put some foundations in place to move forward. I had no confidence for the Spurs game and today has given me some. Should've won anyway after that utterly disgraceful decision from that CUNT LEE Mason...and how did Dirk miss that at the end (what a ball from Fabio too)?
Thanks very much for being ‘This Mornings’ Farmer’

If we've done a deal for Chammakh then the best we can expect is a someone like Jones. If there is no deal for Chammakh already then there is no excuse but to bring in a quality striker now.

I can't believe this season is happening. Its like watching Liverpool but a Man Utd fan has invented time travel, gone back to 2007 and managed to somehow alter the course of history and what we're seeing is a schism in the whole of the space time continuum. This is the parallel reality - the time line that was supposed to happen involved a benevolent, altruistic new chairman who was a Liverpool fan bankrolling us on our way to our 7th European Cup and back to back league titles. Rafa Benitez got the OBE, Fernando Torres never ever got injured and Lionel Messi was on his way to Liverpool's huge new 90,000 capacity stadium on a pre-contract in the summer of 2010. Oh, and I was supposed to be marrying Megan Fox and my old boss got herpes.

It was his inability to deal with their physicality which put paid to controlling Stoke's ability to come at us, as we were never able to build our passing game even though we had some promising moments.

He's a promising player who'll learn from games like this but it's just not happening for him at the moment.

There was once a time when Liverpool sacking a manager was utterly unthinkable. even Houllier's leaving was made to look like resignation.

Let's have a look at the end of the season at least.
                            Really?

Thought we were very unlucky. The minute I seen that cunt Lee Mason as the ref I didn't think it would be our day. Ngog was bullied out of it today and that's where we fell down, we couldn't hang onto the ball and our back 4 (who all played superbly) couldn't get a break. Personally I don't think Ngog is good enough I know he is still very young and has a knack for poping up with a goal but I think his all round play is simply dreadful. We desperetly need another striker the sooner the better. If we had someone like Kenwyne Jones playing up top for us today I think we would have won the game.

Role on Spurs on Wednesday if we put the same sort of effort in as we did today I can see us beating them no problem.

cant you see that we are in a decline that rafa cannot stop ? 5 wins in 20 whatever games with 10 or so losses. This is not just one bad season it is THE worst season.

What will it take for idiots like you to sit up and realise that rafa cant turn this club around.
