This annoys the **** out of me. It's not sour grapes I just think its illegal. To take 10 or 15 seconds to get the ball dried by a ball boy or for Delap to do it himself is just plain wrong. Wiping it on your shirt is one thing but a towel isn't part of the pitch. What next? Little rugby style ball stands for goal kicks etc. This **** from Delap can remove whole minutes from the playing time and I doubt refs take it into account.

Isn't there a rule which states there must be no outside interference with the ball? i.e. beach balls, towels etc.
