gerrard doest seem to be much of a captain to be honest. very disappointed in that. nothing to do with injuries or form, we lack fight and passion. that comes from the manager but also from the senior players - none more senior than the club captain.
he basically seems to be ducking the fight. looks sulky and bored on the pitch and is silent off it. everyone is on our backs yet i've been reading masher and pepe talking more positively more regularly.
where's his leadership? wheres his defiance?

I would say it is very likley you would score in a Thai brothel, no?Originally posted by Marky View PostLiverpool's disastrous season is all Rafa Benitez’s fault. Of course, it is.
He’s the man at the top, the one who’s made all the wrong decisions, committed all the mistakes and must now pay with his head on a Scouse platter.
But as poor old Rafa is dragged by his absurd goatee beard through the streets of Bootle, permit me to add another name to the blame game mix.
Because from where I’ve been sitting, Steven Gerrard has had an absolute mare of a season.
He’s looked bored, listless, donkey-legged, sulky and less likely to score than that Premier League man who was caught in a Thai brothel. Everyone’s talking about how disappointed they are in Benitez. But he’s had to suffer a captain who has, by his own high standards, been woeful.
And whether the Kop want to admit to themselves or not, that’s one of the main reasons Liverpool are doing so badly.Last edited by kingfunk; 18-01-10, 01:21 PM.

Could you post a link with it then or at least state/quote is as an article from wherever, otherwise it looks like your own comments/opinionsOriginally posted by Marky View PostNot my article is it MATE.The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.
