Great performance by everyone tonight and a big well done to lucas who played a blinder IMO. Degan looked good and showed a lot of heart and commitment although he needs to work on his finishing.

Carra put in a good performance which is always nice to see and the greek had another good game. Nice to see maxi and Ngog come on to mix things up and Aquilani had a good game and put in a solid performance.

Rafa got his team selection and tactics spot on tonight. A good hard earned win and a solid performance from everyone.

Another great show of fighting spirit tonight which is what we fans expect as a minimum and if they show it, we'll support them till the end. There have been too many games this season when the heads have dropped, but the last couple of games have been refreshing in terms of effort.

Kuyt looked far more effective tonight in the striker role and with deggen and riera we had some much needed width, things have been too narrow of late.

Ngog did fantastically well when he came on too, lovely feet for the shot he made for himself.

Reina made some superb saves tonight, despite the blunder.

Skrtel and Kyrgiakos didn't exactly convince me completely, Skrtel makes too many individual errors.

Carra had a great game tonight.

The defensive partnership of Mascher and Lucas worked very well, and Mascher had a cracker, he was a real pain in the ass for Spurs.

Rafa got this spot on.

I've loved this back-to-basics approach since the Reading calamity. It ain't pretty but needs must. Maybe be a bit more expanisve at Wolves if possible, give Maxi a start, but this is better now. Is that three wins and a draw in our last four? And three clean sheets in four? Better.

As for the performance, was really pleased with that. Nice to see some fight from the team.

Excellent performances from Riera, Mascherano, and Kyrgiakos. Brilliant performances in particular from Carragher and Deggen.

I've been one who's slated Carragher this season but he was excellent tonight, really strong in the tackle with maximum effort from his play. Got stuck in with some hard tackles and chased down too. Played as a leader and showed the rest of the team how to do it, that in turn spurred on the fans.

I must also say that I was really impressed with Deggen. Fair played on him he runs and keeps on going like the Rabbit's on the Duracell adverts. He doesn't seem to be made of glass anymore either which is a boost!

Just a shame he can't shoot.

Yeah I loved Carra tonight. Since Stevie's been out he's been a proper ****ing leader. Gerrard really ought to take a leaf out of Carra's book FFS. The difference is alarming. Leading by example, setting the tone, heroic chasing of lost causes, great communication and organisation...love it.
