The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.
We can only assume he was fully fit. He was just ****e, but I don't think he was our worst player by a long shot. What did Kuyt and Lucas do that was so special?
Run about a bit? Control the ball?
Remember Kuyt and Lucas have an excuse they're "****".
thanks mate. fighting is quite important, but it's interesting that you talk about creativity. When we scoring all those goals last season there were a few brave souls who argued that even given the goals, there wasn't much in the way of creativity in the team - I mean we all wanted a winger and a forward for the summer - which speaks volumes.

My problem is that I don't really see progress on the attacking point of view.
Absolutely - we all thought that we needed a winger and a forward and we got neither. Johnson gives us a bit more in an attacking sense, but it's plain for all to see that we are blunt up front if Torres is out (and he will always miss some games every season given the type of player he is).
If this is because the rug was pulled from under Rafa in the summer, and he thought he was going to be allowed to spend money on Silva or similar instead of breaking even over the summer window, then he certainly deserves some sympathy and at least another season. If it's because he thought the squad was good enough as it was, then he needs to shoulder the responsibility for bringing us into the season with a woeful lack of creative players in midfield and attack and for spending the bulk of the Alonso money on Johnson rather than a striker.
We have been unusually affected by injuries though. Even the likes of Riera and Aurelio who we rely on for balance on the left have been out for most of the season.
I don't think we need wingers. We need players like Silva and Turan to play with Gerrard and Torres in the front four, we need Aquilani to play alongside Masch or Lucas and we need a left back.
that was appalling - I didn't see the Reading match but this must have been on a par with that showing
If I was Aquilani i'd be knocking on Rafa's door tomorrow morning wanting a bit of an explanation why I was left out after the Spurs game and more importantly why I wasn't given the chance during that ****ty performance?"?
and the worst thing for me, after 75 mins we seemed happy to take a point, against ****ing Wolves!!
I think we played some nice football today. We had control of the game and just that final pass was missing. Lucas was exceptional again, played really well and almost scored.
A little bit of luck and we should have won clearly. But it's okay cause we are going to beat Bolton and soon we'll be fourth again.
Rafaaaaaaaaaaaaa Benitez, Rafaaaaaaaaaaaaa Benitez, Rafaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa Benitezzzzzzzzzzzzzzz.
Less negitivity, More postivity.....
I think you'll find we both said that he should only start IF he IS 100% fit.
His performance suggests he wasnt, so ask that question of the management.
As for the overall summary - absolute dross. Zero creativity whatsoever, we made Wolves look good, we looked as though WE were worried about THEM and we could've played for 90 hours and not scored, let alone 90 minutes.
Shocking set piece delivery, no drive, no passion, zero desire (N'Gog aside) and loads more hoof-ball.
Unfortunately, the above is slowly becoming less of a blip and quite simply, the norm. This isnt us in poor form. This is just us.
This is getting very close now, to being impossible to defend.
