Assuming Torres, Benayoun, Johnson, Agger and Aurelio are injured.

I'd swap Maxi for Kuyt in that XI, and leave Ngog up front, but that's not gonna happen obviously. Maxi will probably find himself back on the bench.

Degen and Maxi on the right wouldnt inspire me with confidence, Kuyt's workrate will be key tomorrow. Hopefully it wont be Carra and Dirk. I think Kuyt and Degen will provide a good balance against a team like Bolton.

We'd be better of with Kuyt at right back and Degen on the wing.

In fact...I don't think Rafa trusts Degen at RB anymore and I don't envisage him playing in that position for us again. Reckon it'll be Carra at RB again, in which case surely Maxi is a better option than Dirk. A Kuyt/Carra axis is an absolute dead end, a whole in the ground!

Is Degen definitely out? Although i agree he'll definitely be used more as a RM from now on.

Just read on SSN that Agger is in the squad so i bet he'll start with the Greek (to deal with Davies) and Carra will be shifted to RB.

If he's fit I can't see Agger being left out and also Lucas can expect a starting place on his overall performances this season.

At last Rafa has a resembalance of a sizeable squad to pick from that is throwing up some selection problems.

Hopefully now we can expect a fully fit team without players carrying injuries as most positions are covered. RB may be an exception but there is decent cover in Carragher & Darby.

I can see Lucas being rested soon, I think he has played most minutes this season, at least in the top three. Agger I agree with, depends on his fitness I guess. Really want to see Aquilani, Riera and Agger get a run together, I think they will improve our ball retention much.

I think Kuyt needs a rest ,I would like to see Agger back ,he makes a difference than just the usual hoof up field from other defenders , I'm sure I heard Rafa say that Kelly was back too ( maybe in training and not in squad) anyone know the latest on Kelly?.Also we are lacking pace up top so Ngog has to start for me
