Completely toothless. Our 'strikeforce' is a joke. A club of our level should have more options for ****s sake. 1 ****ing striker against a ****in Romanian team. Joke.

    So frustrated

        Dreadful last night was.

There is a real sense of negativity about the place which has been looming over the club, the players and the fans for far too long now.

Felt sick watching us last night. We are very disjointed as a team and are awful to watch. Aqualani is still feeling his way back so I'll give him the benefit of the doubt however it wasn't a great performance from him.

Riera was awful as was Auerlio.

I'll tell what Rafa would be better doing in training is to try and teach every single one of the players how to tackle, and this isn't a joke I'm being serious.

They should all be able to learn how to make a clean, physical strong sliding tackle without giving the ball away. Think it would help our play no end.

Haven't you seen Rafa's remote control then? 5 years on and it's still passed above your head?

Error Error ...... tbh if we played some decent stuff you could say ok but we continue to play chess football

Just a couple of things to get off my chest about last nights woeful performance:

                - we must be the WORST team i have ever seen at crossing. Aurelio, Kuyt, Carragher, Riera - none of them can delever a ball into the box from a wide area.

                - Riera was GARBAGE last night. At one point, every time Riera got the ball, i would count if he made a successful pass/dribble/cross. I got to 2.

                - I watched the game on LFC TV at midnight, as i was on a course for the live-broadcast, but Steve Hunter's commentary was diabolical. He kept mentioning how dominant we were, and how many chances we werte creating, how good it was to have Riera nack on the wing - was he watching the same game as me?

                - I agree with Craig, i think these players can play well, if they were sent out on to the pitch with an attacking mentality. Not to pass the ball from right to left, from left to right, from right to left etc, all on the half way line.

Gggrrrrrr - i'm so frustrated with Rafa at the moment.

However my boy saw a win in his first ever game, Reira was horrible, insipid and plain old really bad and I'm usually a supporter of his.
Aurellio kicked the ball out all night so if the Rev Leeroy Brown thinks thats composed then ok, Insua is nailed on to play against City and rightly so as he is our best Left Back.
Game only livened up when Babel and Pacheco came on and around me in the main stand the general opinion was if we were excited at Babel coming on it must be a terrible game.
We won, Ngog scored again, another cleen sheet, Pacheco looked promising again and I wonder how many glory hunters will become interested as we progress.

What bugged me was the simple ability to pass the ball along the ground. Even the shortest of passes seems to need to go a foot or two in the air. It means the player has to take a touch to control the ball before he can even think of doing something with it.

And its not just last night, I see it happening pretty much every game we play

It slows the play down and makes one touch football pretty much impossible.

my brother was at the game last night and he said that he had massive concerns over Aquilani who looked terrible last night.

I didnt watch the match as I was working but apparently I didnt miss much.

Its wierd how we look lacklustre without Torres even with the likes of kuyt and gerrard in the side.

But the aquilani thing does worry me. Was anyone else at the game and did he really play that bad ?

as i said previously i think Aqualani will leave i don't think he is settling well nor showing any glimpses of form to suggest he is a £20million player regardless of injuries .........

Or did you mean you entered the ground at 8pm?
Parked in the Asda and ran up and made it into the ground just after 8.
Meant I had to have a meat & potato pie from the ground, still searching for any meat or potato now.................. :
