I thought me made a few impressive passes out wide but then reira or aureilo wouldn't do much with it.

I think if Johnson had been playing last night he would have made a big difference, Aquilani could have threaded balls through to him and he could have ran at their fullback.

Aqua is not the real deal, its plainly obvious.

Even if he hasn't been fully fit and is in a new league, he should've had a handful of glimpses of brilliance by now, but he's shown nothing other than a couple of decent passes. You could find the same quality of passes only more frequently from any other player we have.

Roma must have laughed their tits off when we offered £20m for an injured, infrequently playing lightweight ghost of a player. We'll be lucky to get back half of what we paid. Couple that with Dossena, and we should stay away from Italy from now onwards.

        Repeat to fail.

Our spine isn't too bad. Reina, Agger, Mash, Gerrard, Torres. Everyone else is ****.

I am feeling very down about all of this. I have never seen worse in all my years.
Your post doesn’t make any sense. When it does, it doesn’t. When you make a point, you contradict yourself in the next sentence. If this is the worse you've seen, buy the 2001 UEFA cup DVD.
If we are all only happy when we are really winning in the end, when your race finishes, what life would that be?

We didn't pay £20m for him though, the details of the deal were released, (Can anyone post a link? I can't find it) there was £5m up front and some more in Jan, alot more based on appearences and success etc. The maximum we'll have paid at the moment is £10m.

It's too early to judge, see how he performs next season before making a decision.
The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

The end of the Houllier era and the Souness era were far worse

on a plus note, aurelio look so composed left side he must play against city, pacheco looks like a real gem and babel again showed he is class. far and away the best player on the pitch for us.
              What game were you watching?

He was crap last night, gave the ball away way too much in the process.

Is this fact or is it speculation from the apologists?

It was posted on here, but I seem to remember

€5m up front, a further €7m back in January, another €4/5m in the summer with the rest on success?!

Its a fact. I remember the deal. It was not £20m that was just press talk. Roma stated it was 5m euro upfront and then instalments over a couple of years

I've nothing against Principe, I really hope he'll "explode" next season, but I think we simply overpaid him. He's worth around 10mio IMO.

edit: edit on this, still I don't know what was the actual deal, just like -V- mentioned. I doubt lfc paid 20mio.

and yes, did you noticed that ngog still doesn't know how to celebrate

OK so that says £15m by the end of June, not too far off the £20m, unless of course he's offloaded before then.

if this is true, then it's same **** if we paid 20.

Did someone not have a bigger bid turned down the previous season, or did I just imagine reading that?

I thought more of the deal was structured on success and appearences, but obviously I was wrong.
