I thought me made a few impressive passes out wide but then reira or aureilo wouldn't do much with it.

I think if Johnson had been playing last night he would have made a big difference, Aquilani could have threaded balls through to him and he could have ran at their fullback.

Aqua is not the real deal, its plainly obvious.

Even if he hasn't been fully fit and is in a new league, he should've had a handful of glimpses of brilliance by now, but he's shown nothing other than a couple of decent passes. You could find the same quality of passes only more frequently from any other player we have.

When we do no one is taking up good positions to pass on to. When we do no one is in the box to receive a pass. When we do our one striker invariably misses.

Our spine isn't too bad. Reina, Agger, Mash, Gerrard, Torres. Everyone else is ****.

We didn't pay £20m for him though, the details of the deal were released, (Can anyone post a link? I can't find it) there was £5m up front and some more in Jan, alot more based on appearences and success etc. The maximum we'll have paid at the moment is £10m.

It's too early to judge, see how he performs next season before making a decision.

disappointing result granted but we should horse them in the away leg when they have to attack.

on a plus note, aurelio look so composed left side he must play against city, pacheco looks like a real gem and babel again showed he is class. far and away the best player on the pitch for us.

I've nothing against Principe, I really hope he'll "explode" next season, but I think we simply overpaid him. He's worth around 10mio IMO.

I thought more of the deal was structured on success and appearences, but obviously I was wrong.
