It's not like he's gone to clubs who should be winning things and were bringing home trophies before he stepped in and 'ruined' it.

    He's a very good manager.
    Yep. Harry is Mr Integrity.

Ok, he achieved better at WHU than at Bournemouth. I dont get what point you're making though

What's integrity got to do with how good a football manager he is?

John Terry is a superb defender, but clearly lacks integrity.

How are the two inter linked?

My point is that he has had moderate success with a couple of clubs but that this has been due to fortune (West Ham) and big spending (Portsmouth and Spurs). His record doesn't mark him out as a particularly good manager all things considered.

I'd just look at the clubs themselves, see what they usually achieve and what is usually considered 'normal' for them, and compare to how the manager in question has done.

He took WHU to the brink of qualifying for europe, something which has never come close to happening in this era, outside of his management reign.

He's now making Spurs into genuine contenders for the top four, which i think will be the case on a regular basis, and this never happened before on a regular basis. Bear in mind it's only his 2nd season there, and he took over when they were bottom.

And he won Pompey the FA Cup and took them to europe, something else which is far beyond their usual expectations.

Based on that lot, i consider him as a manager who gets the maximum out of what he has to work with.

Via the league then, pedant Obviously finishing high in the league is a greater barometer of how good your team is, against being losing FA Cup finalists.

Pardew did it because we won the FA Cup, so by default

Can't remember the rest but I do remember them beating the Mancs at Old Trafford

Really?? old 'Arry is still a ****, over rated manager as far as I'm concerned. Even McLaren got Boro to a couple of finals.........

Yep, late penalty, think it was Muntari. I agree though, Redknapp's okay but wildly overrated.

Who's totally ****ed up the club. Him and Storrie. And I don't buy the he only spends what he's given nonsense. He's got a brain (allegedly) and knows that Portsmouth couldn't possibly have generated enough cash to afford all the players he bought. At some point he should have realised it couldn't continue - oh yeah he did - he was lucky enough to be offered the Spurs job! Amazing luck!

'Arry is a decent enough manager but he isn't even approaching great.

Considering he is being investigated and alledgely charged with tax evasion perhaps it would be wiser to focus on things other than money.
