I think we know some people think the sky is falling in and that we are completely and utterly screwed. That has been made clear. Is the repetition of this constructive or interesting? No. Maybe these posters could build a bunker in the bottom of their garden, buy lots of tinned food, and lock themselves away, waiting for the end. Might save the rest of us from being subjective to doom and gloom ever five minutes which, whether it turns out to be true or not, would certainly be preferable.

Of course, I had noticed we had sacked a fairly popular manager.Originally posted by Marsh View Postoperation.
i think that for some people it was a bad thing for rafa to go. As not much else is happening in LFC land at the moment its only natural for it to take up most of the threads.
. What there has been is a lot of 'we are ****ed' 'we are the new Leeds' and such like, which is not only hysterical conjecture, in the main, it's also bloody depressing.

Anyway, ignore me, I'm just having a whinge.
Sure it's been posted, but Guus's agent says:
"Guus just started two weeks ago in Turkey and as much as he likes the Premier League and as much as he respects Liverpool as a legendary club with a great future ahead, a switch would be hardly doable," added van Nieuwenhuizen.
"Two weeks ago for the same reason he refused the position at Inter Milan post Jose Mourinho.
"I know, never say never and especially in football this is true, but for me this is an impossible thought."Trey Nyoni: countdown to stardom-2 years1year0.5 years

Well I agree with you - that's exactly what I'm saying - he wouldn't have that structure now, and in my opinion would struggle. I just don't want to see that, which I would imagine is your position too.Originally posted by Marsh View Postand Fagan too. the whole bootroom support structure was there.
I am not trying to lessen what he has achieved (still the only man to win the title with two different teams i think? )
i just dont see how he is the person to take us forwards now. this doesnt mean he isnt an asset for the club it just means i dont think he should be manager.Really?

alot of it is over the top, however its the same all the time when you read things on here.Originally posted by Operation View PostOf course, I had noticed we had sacked a fairly popular manager.

i think the we are ****ed is that the perception is that we wont get a manager as good as rafa and that the owners will do what they want.
if we are ****ed it will be because of the owners not rafa not no rafa not moores not anything but those two.
i am worried who knows what the future holds.

That is hugely disrespectful to Dalglish. Who do you think you are to write him off like that? Kenny has attended just about every home game under the Benitez era and has been working for the club for long enough now. He understands football probably better than Rafa Benitez and has proven it. Im sick of people saying the 'game has moved on'. Its nonsense, Kenny's not an idiot he knows how to make teams play good footballOriginally posted by Mattshark View PostWhich will make **** all difference if we can't get more players in and suffer the same injury problems.
I also think you are deluded regarding Dalglish in that sense, football has moved on a lot since he last managed.
Your first point is just stupid btw. Rafa had no power over the financial situation at the club and the new coach won't either but that doesn't mean that a new coach can't get better performances out of the players. That doesn't mean that a new coach can't use a better more attacking system.
Whether you want to admit it or not Rafa Benitez made a ton of mistakes over the past 2 years and he deserved to go as a consequence of those mistakes. 7th and 19 defeats in a season is just absolutely not acceptable and never will be. His own playing squad was not giving him 100% anymore, he clearly did not have the full support of the dressing room. Even now with the exception of Pepe Reina the silence from the rest of them is deafening.
We'll never know how much better we could be doing right now had we spent the £40m on Keane and Aquilani better than Rafa did. The fact that Rafa persisted with a 1 striker system when we our only top class striker is often injured is a farce.
A new coach will fix the problems that Rafa was too stuborn to fix/change.
Thats nonsense mate, whilst Hiddink might be doubtful due to his impending move to Turkey there are tons of experienced managers out there who would jump at the chance to manage liverpool. If we can afford to pay Rafa £4/5m to leave then im sure there would be money available to pay a top top manager.Originally posted by banditos View PostUnfortunately, the current state of the club off-field makes getting all but one of these guys very unlikely. Kenny would be great for us IMO, but he doesn't seem to want it.
Unless you have spoke to Kenny I don't see how you can say he wouldnt do the job short-term atleast.
The rot behind the clubs financial woes cannot be fixed by Rafa Benitez so I don't see your point. Obviously since this is a thread about who coaches the team Im talking about the rot in our on-field football which has been abysmal for the past year. A new coach can certainly change thatOriginally posted by Assassin View PostThe rot will never be over before the two cunts have sold out 100%. I think that football is not like it was when Dalglish was a manager but how dare I state that. How ****ing dare you, you ignorant little prick.Originally posted by -V- View PostThat is hugely disrespectful to Dalglish. Who the hell do you think you are?

its not disrespecting him its looking at things and coming to a reasnoble conclusion.Originally posted by -V- View Post**** off your the one disrespecting Kenny Dalglish, talking about him as if he is some 90 year old pensioner who is totally out of touch with reality.
there are other reasnoble conclusions too
i say again if football hasnt moved on then the managers that kenny was jousting with in the late 80s early 90s would still be about managing at the top en mass.
Going to games isnt the same as being a manager.

It doesn't make him out of touch with football today either. He follows the game every day like all football watchers do. Im sick of all the stupid ****ing RCDNW brigade chat ****e about how people like Kenny can't do the job. Its ****ing bull**** because you can't prove that he can't. I bet if we had brought Kenny into the job in January we would have made that top 4 place instead of sticking with another few months of Rafa's **** tactics
Managers of 20 years ago, you people people like Lippi, Fergie, Hodgeson etc etc etc??? If Kenny wanted a job he could have got one anytime but we all know he's only interested in Liverpool
