Well he did spend 5 seasons managing Barca so I cannot say that he is inexperienced. He won La Liga titles twice with them and he is the one credited with bringing Xavi and Iniesta (just to name few) from their youth system to the first team.

When i said he was 'inexperienced' i meant that he was inexperienced at managing a side that has many problems as we seem to have. He never had the problems at Barca that we have, not even close.

Also he never brought Xavi or Iniesta through, Van Gaal did.

Roy Hodgson has accepted the opportunity to become the next manager of Liverpool.

Hodgson has agreed terms with Liverpool managing director Christian Purslow but no official announcement will be made until Fulham and Liverpool finalise a compensation payment.

Hodgson is due to talk to senior members of the Liverpool coaching staff to help him come to a decision as to who should be his assistant.
