The problem with what most of you is you forget Rafa is the reason we are regularly in the champions league,Rafa is the reason Gerrard became a free scoring attacking midfielder.
Its quickly forgotten.
I am not one of the rcdnw campaign but as Lec said on another thread something is seriously wrong and i don't think a change of manager much more the decimation of our squad will fix it.
I mean who in all honesty do you replace Torres with people when you have no money even Gerrard who?
If Rafa goes and the Americans stay we will have a clear out and be relegated in 2 years and that is not worse case scenario.
I wouldn't put it past the yanks to take us into administration and try an American style move of the club to London.
Money from sales will service the debt full stop.
As far as i am concerned Rafa is the only one that at this moment can take us out of this slump not Daglish,not Mourinho,not Hiddink.

If we finish 7th and don't qualify for *any* European competition whatsoever I'm not sure why anyone seems convinced that people like Torres and Gerrard would stick around just because Rafa is still in post, particularly as he's the manager who would have led us out of Europe.

In all probability, those two would move on no matter who the manager is, particularly Gerrard who due to age has less years in his career to wait around with.

My biggest fear about Rafa going isn't losing Rafa and it isn't losing Gerrard and Torres as a Europe missing performance likely sees the back of them anyhow.

The only thing that would make me want Rafa to stay in post is that I wouldn't particularly want Tom and George deciding his successor. I don't buy the argument that any manager would do better than Rafa in the league.

I think there's a good few that would, but then again I don't have any faith that the ones running the show at Anfield would select one of them.

carragher looked so poor against wigan he really did my head in and reminded me of him at right back many years ago, however with johnson and torres back in the team and getting match fit the movement will be far greater I also believe that aqua is going to get a few games now given what has happened against wigan where he looked far better

All this means there will be more passing options on the field and players such as carragher will not look the same especially with a ball playing defender like agger next to him
