    I'd sell Carra.
He makes sounds about not wanting to take a squad role, so that will only mean he will be around like a potentially disruptive influence.
He is also average now, mistakes getting more frequent.

Why not just advocate corporal punishment next, for poorly performing players? The cane, or the slipper perhaps?
Ok Mr ****inpickynicky, send them to me and on behalf of every true Liverpool fan who is hurting because of this dross, I will personally knock the fookers out, one at a time, then when they wake up, agree with them to donate 1 months wages to a charity of their choice. They certainly havent earned 50k a year let alone a week.

For your record, I think it was Squaddie who asked me, I speak French and Creole as my other two languages. Creole is a mixture of French and some obscure mixture of everything and there has never been any rules or defined grammar about it - I never ever learned it, you just get it by speaking with people. Creole isn't considered an 'official language' per se, for that particular reason. You go anywhere in a former (or current) French colony and you'll find variations of the language.
Creole is spoken in Belize, I had an awesome time there with the locals, they didnt give a hoot about your education, colour of skin etc, best people ever and listening to them talk in creole with each other was brilliant.

Other clubs have cash now..it's very different, 4th will not be a gurantee ever again, not with any manager in charge...unless that manager is given substantial cash to invest without weakening the squad to do it, otherwise it's just robbing peter to pay paul.

aye - as i mention i'd keep a few others that will be needed in the squad - in fact, if we could get the right players in (left back/two wingers/striker as a minimum) there is a few i personally would still have in the squad as cover/backup/rotation - despite this ****e season some are still capable of doing some sort of job here - i'd consider

            defence
            kelly
            skrtel
            maybe kyriakos as back up

            midfield
yossi and kuyt are good enough to come in now and then as cover
lucas again good enough to come in as cover

            upfront
pacheco and ngog - youngsters coming through

            would give us

            7 good first teamers
            reina
            johnson
            agger
            carragher
            mascherano
            gerrard
            torres

            10 back up/squad/youth players
            kelly
            skrtel
            kyriakos
            yossi
            kuyt
            lucas
            pacheco
            ngog
            back up keeper
jovanocvic if we have already signed him on a free

Gives us a squad of 17 we already have, bring the four players required to fill in the gaps in the first XI - we are up to a decent 21 man squad - anyone not listed can **** off, and other gaps to be filled with youth players, free transfers or loan deals.

I can see what people are saying, but while we add a certain quality of player, ones we can afford...other teams will be buying the top end Players...and improving their sides beyond what we'll be able to invest as the club stands.

aye its a ****ty situation but without some serious investment that gave a manager say - £150m to spend on 4/5 top class players too come in - we have too utilise and make the most of what we have and do what we can to bring the right players for the right positions

Getting rid of all our best players for cash certainly wouldnt improve the situation.

Alright mate, you keep calling me pickynicky and continue to come up with absurd suggestions that are completely beyond the realms of possibility.

                    That'll solve everything.

I agree with you to a point, about going forward into the future. City are the ones. I still think this season, our team and squad was better than their's and dreadfully mismanaged.

I dont think Spurs or Villa have better squads/teams than us now, nor do i think they'll have the funds to emphatically blow us out of the water, with regards to the level of squads they're likely to be able to build in the next couple of years.

In the next few seasons, we'll arguably have a squad which isnt good enough to finish 4th, on paper.

That hasnt happened yet though IMO, this season i think we had a squad and team which was definitely 4th best in the country, and arguably 3rd best.

We havent utilised it properly though.

This talk of selling virtually everyone, starting again and needing £150m to spend on players, is miles miles miles over the top, for me.

Our squad is competitive. Not the best, but it's good enough to compete at top four level.

A bit of tweaking and annual maintainence in the form of one or two good signing per year, is all it needs. I'm aware that the funds may not be given to the manager, to make those one or two signings. But the majority of the squad is certainly sufficient for the sort of level we're aiming to achieve - eg, top four.

That to me is still the basis of a very good starting 11. The addition of 3 decent players will be enough (considering we keep people fit for the most part).

Personally, I would look to sell Kuyt, Skrtel, Lucas, and possibly Aqualani (I just have a bad feeling about him) and freshen things up for next season. We desperately need a decent partner for Torres, a decent left back and right winger and thats it for me. Of course we need to strengthen our depth but we simply cannot afford too so lets concentrate on the first team now and rely on our youth academy to fill in when needed, but only after we have a decent 11.

Johnson managed just under 60 appearances last season, Torres with a decent big bruising strike partner will suffer less I'm sure. Being isolated like his is in this formation means he's alone and being kicked all over the place. Give him a partner like Carew and I'm sure he'd improve.

Agger, well, yes, can't disagree there.

it's not all doom and gloom the title says, and what i find is a suggestion we sell practically all our squad

when has that ever worked in football? like Darkon said, if you want an example that even all the riches of the world can't help if you're rebuilding and dismantling the squad with every season, it's real madrid. how the hell do people expect we can replace, what we have built in 5 years, in one summer?! it's a long term project if you like it or not, and the majority of the problems are not in the team who bar a couple of tweaks here and there is on pair with the best in the world. the problem is the manager has lost the understanding of the players, and by the looks of it he's lost the patience of the fans aswell.

time to move on, give someone else the chance to take the best out of the current squad and add one or two players he thinks are lacking.

if we're going all football manager like, the players i'd (try to) sell in the summer are:

                                Babel 5-10mil
                                Degen - 2-3mil
                                Kuyt - 3-4mil
                                Aurelio - free

what we need are a left back to replace Aurelio, someone like Jovanović(is the deal done or what?) who can play as a second striker, and then we should still have a couple of millions left to buy a creative player.
                                Jürgen Klopp
