    - - 7 million EURO by June 30th 2010
    - - 5 million EURO by June 30th 2011.

    Further Add ons include:

    - 300,000 EURO for every year Liverpool qualify for the Champions League from 2010/11 to 2014/15- 250,000 EURO everytime the player reaches 35 appearancs, 70 appearances, 105 appeances and then 140 appearances.

    - 1 million EURO the first time Liverpool either wins the Premier League or Champions League by 30 June 2014.

    - 5% of any future transfer fee will be paid to Roma.

So on that basis, 15m euro's by the end of June.

interesting reading - i hadn't seen it before - no wonder rafa is de-motivating the players.

So if we sell him before the end of June my theory is right

Bu t when you look at the number of games he played it doesn`t really add up.
could've been him - i'm sure there has been others too. there was someone who say if he played 30 games in his first season it would trigger £xxm to be paid to his previous club, and with like 10 games left of the season he was playing well, was on 29 games and got dropped

I don't think I could bear to watch another season of this dross, even with a couple of new faces.
Obviously we aren't getting 100% out of the players at the moment, but a significant number of them are not fit or have missed large parts of the season through injury. The question should be are we getting as much as we can out of them as we can given their fitness levels? And the answer to this is much more difficult to find.
The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

Doesn't the transfer window only officially open on the 1st of July?

If so it would be impossible to sell him before the end of June

Honestly, I think Rfa a will be furious with the way the Season has completely derailed and I would expect his to come back with a lot of new players and fresh for the fight next season.

He has dropped Kuyt and Lucas tonight, yes its only one game but history suggests that Rafa is patient but if you let him down your out on your arse.

And welcome back to the real world.

I must learn not to question your opinions though, as you're obviously always right. (in your world anyway)

By the way I think I did see you last night, were you the one starting off the Rafa Benitez chanting?

Question my opinion all you like, that's not a problem.

Anyone questioning my support though, is being a bit of a dick.

he can have a last roll for me, IF he sold kuyt and lucas in the summer that would be my pre-requisite for keeping him

If we'd set up our side to go out and dominate sides like last night rather than the usual containment game we've tried and failed all season to play this last roll of the dice question would never have been raised.

Rafa has been the master of his own downfall to a certain extent with negative tactics and refusing to change them when they are clearly not working.

There are obviously other factors such as players losing form and the dark shadow cast by the two yanks which hasn't made it any easier for him but still on the pitch the buck stops with him

I think Rafa had every intention of playing the sort of football we saw last season and last night...he knows the benefits as much as anyone, when you have the right players to do it properly that is...and not just being gung ho about it.

The season went off the rails pretty early for many reasons, this will have influenced how we've played since.

Picking the right players to play that kind of football, is a start.

No, I still think he should go at the end of the season, Id be very surprised if he playes the same team again this season. I believe the first team he Inherited when he came in would beat hit usuall first team Kuyt and Lucas included. In six years, thats not good enough for a club like Liverpool FC.
