    £50m well spent?
Wenger bought another three players on top of that.

I think everyone will agree that Torres has been Rafa's best buy and we done well to get Masch.
I would have loved to have seen Tevez play for us though, as I think we may have really pushed on after that.

      3 goals in 40 appearences.

We bought him for €10Mill and we'll probably sell him for €7mill to Villareal

I wouldn't say he was a good buy, more a case of Good Bye.

I think he was integral in the way we played last year. It wasn't his goals that were important though.

            Very much so.

Easy to just selectively pick those.

How about the likes of Dossena, Pennant, Keane, Lucas, Morientes etc?

Is that £46m well spent? Works both ways. He's not as bad as some make out with his buys, but there've been some real turkeys. Aquilani's jury is still out, as are those of Babel and Riera.

Nasri's ****ing pants. His great goal against Porto apart, he's been largely ****.
Thanks very much for being ‘This Mornings’ Farmer’

but for money paid and goals returned, Wenger has got better value for his money in that position (just)

                Babel and Riera as examples..

Can't believe Lucas is mentioned as a bad buy.

Lucas was a steal at £6m.

I dunno why people think Lucas is such a bone of contention with so many Liverpool fans, then. It's not done at random, is it? Are they anti-brazilian? Sounds unlikely.

If he's such a steal and such an undoubtedly great player, why do SO MANY Liverpool fans not rate him as such, or in your eyes, underrate him so badly?

Why him? Do you not think there's a correlation between their opinions of him and what he's done on the field?

Of course it is, thats the entire point DannyMan is making!
Shanks was completely selective about Wenger's signings.

Well fair enough, we can forget the whys and wherefores - the facts say Wenger's spent less and won more than Rafa. So is he a better manager?

                          I reckon he's a great little player.

He'd walk into our best side, that's for sure.

I could make a bigger list of Rafa's duffers than Wengers, against money spent and value..

We criticised John Terry for his "3 players run this club, not the manager" comments, but then say we should sack Rafa cos the players don't want to play for him.

If the players don't want to play for him, then get rid. Gerrard would do well to remember the improvements he's made under Rafa.

If Rafa goes do we really think Moaninho, Rijkaard or Hiddink would want to come? No transfer budget and owners making their life difficult.

Personally, I just can't bring myself to want rid of Rafa. He has done a lot for this club, from the ground up. He has a vision and a passion similar to Wenger (who is lauded for it). He can't be happy with things now and it must hurt him that he hasn't turned it around yet.
