We were on form, confident and mentally very strong. We had just beaten Madrid 4-0 a few days before.

This season we are totally fragile and making ridiculous individual errors all across the park, particularly in defending.

I feel its a risk but I understand that we have done this successfully in the past. Everytime we have sat back and invited pressure this season we concede unlike in the past where we kept clean sheets

He was probably sat on his arse all of the time he wasn't in the first 11.

Most foreign players new to the league are (let alone when coming back from injury).... Lucas was a big fanny when he turned up, doesnt seem to mind getting stuck in now.

Just needs a bit of time to put some beef on and realise he'll get nowhere ****ting out of tackles.

                    --------------

Ah, ive just read the article above...... Yes.... He's a bad fanny.

ONE good game from Aquilani doesn't suddenly make him a world class player. Yes it he performed well, but it was at home against a team already relegated (or as good as).

Up to that point he'd been garbage; I don't get to Anfield often but I was in the crowd for his "performance" against Bolton and its just about the worst I've ever seen in a red shirt. Appalling.

I remain totally unconvinced he'll make it in England but I'd love to be proved wrong...

Alberto Aquilani is doubtful for Thursday night's Europa League clash with Lille, manager Rafael Benitez confirmed today.

The Italian international - who netted his first goal for the Reds in a man of the match display against Portsmouth earlier in the week - missed training at Melwood on Wednesday.

"He has a virus and is struggling with his fitness," said Benitez at Melwood earlier today.

"We have to take care of him and decide tomorrow. It will be a late decision."

I guess that proves that it was not really Aquilani playing but a Symbiote of him, who enchanced his poor skills. Therefore he is feeling the effects as the symbiote has left him.
