Guys, how do you react to taunts from manc friends? I'm really in a bad mood and I feel that someone is going to feel the brunt of it today. Do you normally tell them to **** off?

Haha. You wanna try having 72000 of them singing 'murderers' and stuff about hillsborough/heysel in your face.Originally posted by PeteBest View PostGuys, how do you react to taunts from manc friends? never a penalty. but masher did deny him a goalscoring chance which by the law would have been a sending off.Originally posted by TheElephantMan View PostIt was probably a free kick, absolutely no way was it a penalty. Mascherano wasn't the last man so your suggestion that it was a sending off couldn't be more wrong.People who think there's no good way to die have obviously never heard the phrase 'Drug-fuelled-sex-heart-attack'.

The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

Well, the thread was about Howard Webb, not some random referee. There were no decisions as bad as several yesterday in last season's game. Webb wasn't the ref at that game either so why would there be comments about it?Originally posted by Shanks View PostWhy is it we always talk about the ref when we get beat and not when we win and if we do, it's a case of "We were lucky to get that decision etc"
I didn't see a bad ref thread when we won at Old Trafford last season..

The point is that the foul was committed outside the box yesterday. The linesman - in a good position - didn't flag when Mascherano pulled him, Webb was behind play and so in no position to give a pen. The linesman only flagged when Valencia decided to throw himself theatrically to the floor inside the box after he'd been pulled back outside the box.Originally posted by GraciousGooner View PostAre you serious?
Honestly?
The one last season was a tough decision where it wasn't clear from all angles what had happened.
Today, almost everyone i was sat with said penalty as their first reaction. So again not a criminal decision.
Presumably it'll all come out eventually though, like Italy.
So like last season, Webb made a rash decision which, as in yesterday's incident was the wrong decision

I'm talking about in general.Originally posted by Redspin View PostWell, the thread was about Howard Webb, not some random referee. There were no decisions as bad as several yesterday in last season's game. Webb wasn't the ref at that game either so why would there be comments about it?
There has been many a time when a bad decision has gone in our favour but we never seem to slate the ref.
Whenever we lose at Old Trafford it seems to be the refs fault and if we win, then it's beacuse we were the better team.
