Right, i'm merely passing this on in good faith and i have no idea whether it's true or not, but i've been told this by a mate, who's a fellow Red and not an idiot attention seeking gossip-monger.
Close mate of his works in the national print media and he told my mate plenty of the John Terry stuff well before it had been published in the press.
I think this all sounds ridiculously far fetched and soap-opera-like - and i told my mate this, to which he replied "I know - but the problem is, this guy has always been trustworthy" - which means, either this stuff is true - or it's not, but his mate genuinely has reason to believe that it's genuine.
Anyway, the story is that Gerrard is definitely off this summer and moving abroad, due to issues in his personal life. The club are aware of the situation and have accepted that he needs to be allowed to move on.
Allegedly, Alex Curran has been having an affair with a Derby County player and Steven Gerrard considers the marriage beyond repair.
The worst part of the story is the allegation that Stevie himself has got upto no good - and got a 16 year old girl pregnant. She apparently intends to keep the baby and Gerrard is going through the necessary legal processes to ensure the story is not published in the press, largely to make sure his place in England's World Cup squad is not placed in jeopardy, as Capello made it clear to all the England players that no more stories of this kind would be tolerated.
So that's it. I think it sounds ridiculous myself and the only thing i know is that my mate (and his mate) wouldnt bull**** about this. So it's either bizarrely true - or my mate's pal in the media, has been spun a yarn.
