An awful lot of moaning on here and yes it was pretty poor stuff and very frustrating, but we had a perfectly good goal ruled out and deserved a draw. 1-0 isn't disastrous and we'll turn it round next week.
Thanks very much for being ‘This Mornings’ Farmer’

Not a disaster at all... though it would have been if Athletico were up to much.

Its just a shame to have had to sit through another 90 mins of insipid and uninspiring football.

result decent enough agreed, but We might as well have Gary megson in the dugout fir the displays we have to endure.

Watching Liverpool has become a chore.

All the talk from rafa was of wanting an away goal and yes one was disallowed, but apart from thAt did we try for another one?

FFs give pacheco/aquiliani a chance something decent to watch and get the heArt beating red again.

They'll score at Anfield, and we'll be up against it, needing 3 and then (if we get 3) ****ting ourselves that they'll score again.

Dreadfully dire, dreadfully poor and woefully non-threatening. The new Liverpool way.
Didn't you see the goal given offside , that must have been a shot at goal surely.

Can't you see through your clouded vision of doom that at only 1 nil down we will have another great European night at Anfield and a great chance to get to another European final.

The negativity on here is amazing considering it's the first leg of a semi final

FFS, do you really think that Rafa does it on purpose? Do you think he sets out his teams out defensively so as NOT TO SCORE, deliberately?

If it's a chore watching Liverpool, then don't watch us play again and take a leaf out of captainfog. And even if you do, please stop coming here spouting all this **** again and again and again as it's ****ING TEDIOUS.

Sorry if I come about as being pedantic but I've had enough and some people (if not the moderators) should come out and cut out this kind of posting. I don't mind constructive debate even if it's negative but this one is just taking the piss.

I agree with your sentiment Fredo but you surely must agree that it was punishing to watch. A decent result like but not pretty on the eye !

Yes it was ****ing **** but I think that's ludicrous to think that the manager instructed the players to settle for a loss. FFS, that's incredibly harsh and irrational. He's also not responsible for the players being **** and conceding a stupid goal.

Still, as **** as we were, we should have had a draw as that goal was never offside.

My first impression was that its close, but the replay showed he was defo on side. Just another poor decision in a European competition really

We don't seem to be getting the rub of the green at all this season. It was a big decision to disallow the goal as an away goal and coming away with a 1-1 draw rather than a 1-0 defeat would make a huge difference
The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

Grim viewing last night. Thought the big Greek looked dodgy at times, Johnson showed (again) why he's not a good defender, and we have Reina to thank for an outstanding save from Simao in the second half.

The plus points were Atletico don't look that clever either, and if it wasn't for a few last ditch inch perfect tackles by Perreira(sp?) we'd have been through one-on-one with their goalie. Gerrard put in a more dynamic performance than what we've generally seen this season although his "radar" was well out. Mascherano, other than a couple of really rubbish passes, was fantastic. Thought Kuyt did ok too.

Ngog and Babel were both dire - would we dare start with Kuyt upfront with Pacheco in behind and Gerrard on the right next Thursday?

Sorry to say but a typical Liverpool away performance this season.
We don't so much need new players we need a new attitude when playing away from home, that said Athletico were rubbish, no ambition and little quality at home, time wasting all the time.
I would expect us to win comfortably at home. The only problem then is the final isn't at Anfield so we'll struggle to beat Fulham then lose on penalties
The King was back for a short while. Long live The King.

I've not looked on the Match Thread but a special mention must go to Reyes for being the most pathetic excuse of a man I've yet seen on a footy pitch.
