    You're probably right, but it seems a lot of bother short term unless the rewards are a lot greater.

    I don't think the number of boxes is increasing (could be wrong) so the only way to increase revenue would be to increase the cost considerably for a box essentially the same overall floor area but with seating outside included.

      And add catering space / facilities, serving overpriced food and drinks.

      They could be used on non-match days for conferences and parties too.

      I went to a Xmas party at Chepstow racecourse once. It was the executive boxes with the partion walls removed to make a larger room.

        Maybe but I don't see how that is any different from now. All that seems to be happening is the glazed external wall of the boxes is being cut back to allow 2 rows of extrernal seating.

        I'm sure the match day experience will be much better (I was in a box a few years ago and hated it), but sureley if the numbers are the same, they'll still only sell the same amount of food and drink, and I thought that area could be used for functions already.

        As I say, I'm sure you're right as I don't think it's being done just to improve a few corporates experience.

          i like the design. i think it is truly different and not a bowl. as nice as the allainz is its basically a bowl with a different outside.
