    Do we support Spurs tonight?

Now that we can't qualify for the champions league (i should have posted this a while ago..), I think the best scenario for us is if Spurs finish 4th.

If City qualify they will be able to attract a higher quality of player (Villa, Silva etc) than those who would probably sign on to play for them in the europa league. Signing a higher quality of player could allow them to push on to win the prem and champions league...

If Spurs finish 4th, they will strengthen in the summer, but the Champions League games will be massive distractions for the fans and players and given that Spurs won't go on a huge spending spree in the summer (as Levy won't risk the financial future of the club) there could be a potential drop in league form. I do think they will spend in the summer, just not in the same way City will....

For us, we're a mess, we all know it, the best case scenario is that a new owner is in place before the end of the world cup so we can still buy some new players, if that happens I believe we can challenge for the title, but with those two jokers in charge who knows what will happen.

I only want Spurs to win and grab 4th because with all the money City have and have spent it would be rather funny if they didn't get CL.

Why worry.City will get four eventually. And they will become genuine challengers for the title sooner rather than later.

That said, if Spurs miss the boat they may have blown their last chance.

In a strange sort of way, it would probably work out best if City got in. City will out spend and bring in better players than us anyways, If Spurs get 4th, they will too for sure.
              Forwards.......

                I'm not watching.

You could argue it either way: City will spend big either way, yes they'll be more attractive with CL football. If Spurs get in there they'll have an increased budget meaning we'll be competing with 2 clubs spending heavily rather than one. But whatever happens we need to get ourselves sorted out over the summer, otherwise it will make no difference.
The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

why would anyone support spurs tonight?!?!?!

right now, city are a far more attractive option to players looking for transfers......money, bigger crowds, money, possilbe CL football ( if not next season then soon ), money, soon top challenge for title, money etc....

if spurs get CL football next year then IMO they will be a more attractive option as well....more money than us, CL football, good english base, etc...

if spurs get CL football then i see us struggling even more so to attract big name players and risk falling further behind the big guns.

COME ON YOU CITY TONGIHT I SAY!!!!

Yep, City are gonna spend £200m or so whether they're in the CL or not, makes no difference.

Defo yes. Spurs must get a result.

Man City getting into the champions league would be disastrous for us as they could then attract almost any player in the world their their unlimited wealth

but they can do that now......and if spurs get into CL then they can attract bigger stars too making it even more unlikely we'll get the starr names needed next year.
