Why not?Originally posted by Vermilion View PostUntill the owners go...the cloud that hangs over this club will remain...and no amount of managerial changes will alter that.
Different style of play - attack maybe?
Different formation.
Who know what a change of manager will bring even under the current circumstances...

True confidence and injuries all played a part but I think one of the biggest things missing from this squad was quite simply desire. There were so many games where we didn't look like we lacked confidence we just looked like we couldn't give a ****.Originally posted by Mattshark View PostWell yeah, but I would say that was a lot do with confidence that we simply lacked after a **** start and away from home and a **** load of injuries.
At Anfield we were quite good. In the past 10 years our points total more often than not would have actually got CL football.
Also the points total we got has no means absolutely nothing with regards to the past 10 years, it only has something to do with this year and this year this points total was shocking as 6 other teams got more than us.

They didn't get more than Chelsea, Manure, Arsenal, Spurs, City and Villa which meant we didn't get Champions League football. Houlliers last team only had 3 teams above it and did get Champions League football. The fact we got more points this season than we did back then means jack **** really.Originally posted by Mattshark View PostAnything is arguable, but this team got more points.
The only thing that matters is this season and this season we were nowhere near good enough.

Actually it reflects massive changes in circumstance and why the lack on investment we had in the summer was so critical.Originally posted by SimonNo7 View PostThey didn't get more than Chelsea, Manure, Arsenal, Spurs, City and Villa which meant we didn't get Champions League football. Certainly a contributing factor but I'd add that our signings for the past 2 years have been pretty woeful.Originally posted by Mattshark View PostActually it reflects massive changes in circumstance and why the lack on investment we had in the summer was so critical.James Philip Milner Fanclub #1

Whether Rafa is the right man to lead us or not, we simply cannot afford a respectable replacement or any sort of significant squad overhaul, until the two leeches are gone
