The majority of posters were bloody frustrated last season, perhaps equally between Rafa's perplexing substitutions and line-ups and some of the inept performances from so-called superstars. I was one of these posters.

But it doesn't mean that it wasn't obvious that Rafa's been doing this job for at least the last 2 years with one hand tied behind his back, and we've had 5 good (sometimes spectacular) seasons with only last season being a stinker.

For him to leave now isn't about football. We're meant to be a football club with patience, had next season under Rafa gone the same way as the one just past then it would have been time to say good-bye. The main problem is that Rafa's left on non-footballing matters IMO, cloaked in poisonous claims from the shysters in charge of poor performance.

Rafa had made more mistakes last season than usual but to not give him the chance to rectify those mistakes is appalling.

      This comparison is laughable.
He had a squad that finished 4th, and you're asking him to turn it into champions on a net budget of £13m per season.

When world class players cost at least £30m each.

Rafa can't spend Utd money unless he wins the league, or the marketing department comes up with a way to make us Utd type money. In the 6 years Rafa has had we are no closer to winning the league and if anything in a worse position, and now we have Gerrard in his final years.

We have had almost nothing come through the youth ranks in Rafa's time here.

I don't completely buy the fact that Rafa needed a huge budget over 6 years to deliver us a title, he had Gerrard before he hit his peak, he brought some decent players, but brought too many squad players and took too many gambles.
How does that work then? It's not realistic, but he's expected to do it?

Ok, well i expect you to climb aboard a camel and outrun a ferrari. It's not realistic, but i expect you to win the race.

If you dont, you're a failure.

Because in the last few seasons we've been pretty much outspent by everybody in the league

Personally I would expect any manager to have at least the same budget as what David Moores provided

Sadly despite the market increasing over the last few years our budget has not kept pace with that

In fact if anything our budget has decreased whilst the market has increased

After often being told not to see things so black and white, i'm now seeing things in a more balanced way and appreciating both sides of the scenario.

              Isnt that better?

Which is fair enough. I wonder if it's that people just don't have the balls when it comes to the crunch. Again, not saying that Craig has no balls. (Not directly anyway )

I dont earn millions but i want a muti million pound mansion and yachts to rival Abramovich. I dont care how, i just want it.

Yet, i live in a 2 bedroom flat and my mode of transportation is a modest car.

he didnt have enough money to assemble a league winning cast.

This is an obvious fact. i dont know how many times people have to point out the difference in spending to you.

he started with a squad worse than the the top three and was given less money than they where and with this he had to get above them.

now doesnt sond too easy does it. and the season we went backwards the club made a profit in the transffer market rather than investing

again facts that your argument doesnt hold up against.

What a ridiculous question, that is beyond subjective. Did you get you arguing techniques from a creationist convention?

                              Of course I do, but:

                              TRANSFERS: 2007/08
                              Total bought: £70.7m
                              Total sold: £36.7m
                              Net spend: £34m

Maybe had he won the league in 07/08 he would have had an increased transfer fund, maybe he was given 2 season's worth of transfer funds in 07/08.
