    More than -4m

A club of our stature should be working on £20m plus sales. And yes, that is about the level you need to keep the team competing.

I knew there was a poll like this. I just don't get people on here.

Surely that poll represents more than 5% of us that are ready for a change.

But then they have significantly lower expectations. If you're only aiming for a top 5 / 6 finish then our budgets are okay. If you're aiming higher you need significantly more money.

(Plus I have a feeling that Everton have outspent us (net spend!) over the last couple of transfer windows, but I could be wrong on that.)

i dont think its about not being able to have an opinion. what it is though is about looking at the evidence and coming to a balanced conclusion.

rafa never did anything wrong is as invalid as rafa should have won the league last year.

what i see from the more pro rafa posters is a bit more thought and using evidence as opposed to we have gerrard (well everyone else should go home then shouldnt they and if capello doesnt win the world cup with gerrard is he a **** manager?) we are liverpool we should be winning.

football is a bit more complicated

i agree the club may be better off for rafa going as maybe its a first step away from the destructive situation we where in last season. maybe we will get a manager who will get us no 19. i cant see it but it may well be true.

we need a change at board room and need proper funding to compete.

oh rafa wasnt in charge of the academy until last summer but its his fault it didnt produce prior to that. he got us the youth bloke from barca which no doubt was a mistake to some etc.

try looking at the whole picture and you may well see that its not as simple as you think

And I am not saying Rafa can only win with a inflated budget. That is misrepresentation and a disgustingly low tactic used by people who don't actually have a real argument.
I'm not sure how. The one constant we keep hearing to excuse Rafa of doing well is he has had a lack of money.

How would you expect him to buy with a £20m budget?

Because the only poor season we have had since the first season (which was under different circumstance) was happened when we had no transfer budget.

Notable the attitude change. Craig in particular (not picking on you mate)

We would have gotten another striker and a left back at least.

Do you think Liverpool should be investing more in their teams than Wigan, Wolves, Sunderland, et al

Because in the last few seasons we've been pretty much outspent by everybody in the league

Personally I would expect any manager to have at least the same budget as what David Moores provided

Sadly despite the market increasing over the last few years our budget has not kept pace with that

In fact if anything our budget has decreased whilst the market has increased

My argument Re: Gerrard was that Rafa had him during his peak, I am not saying Gerrard can win the league on his own, but Rafa DID have the luxury of having during his peak, and at no cost (transfer wise), and during that time he had transfer funds available to attempt to create a supporting cast around him.
