UNless he's a ****ing liar, of course.
        Really?

If he's chosen to sack Benitez, he has to get authority from the owners - they're the ones who'd have to pay the severence package, so Purslow wont have just been able to do it off his own back.
agreed, but I'm suggesting it was his idea (Purslow - at this juncture)
          Really?

the gagging order will be part of his severance package.

It cannot be a sacking on the terms of one bad season, he's just been given a 5 year contract last year. This is just insane. I'd boycott the club as long as those guys are still in charge, there's no way they would be making a profit on this club if it was me.

This may be completely unrelated, but having just seen the pictures of the england squad posing in front of their plane before flying off to SA, gerrard's expression is one of someone whose mind is a million miles away.

They flew out this evening and according to the Mirror, Rafa was sacked last night.

Rafa just doesn't strike me as the sort of bloke who'd go quietly. Call me naive but I'm sure he'll play some sort of game to engineer a way, somehow, of speaking out, gagging order or not. He's a proud man, maybe too proud at times, and he loves a scrap.

purslow is a lying ****ing midget who should be set on fire and thrown over the edge of a cliff.

I think the Mirrors article is future dated for tomorrow so last night would be referring to tonight

There's normally a few items about Rafa on the home page but interestingly there's no mention of him.

That Mirror article of Maddock's is from tomorrow's Mirror. Hence "last night"...i.e. tonight.

I think Mirror saying "last night" means tonight, they've since changed the copy.

That's for the benefit of folk who wake up to The Mirror on their mat.

That would make sense, but it's dated June 2nd.
