Gutted, truly gutted. One bad season doesn't make a bad manager, who the hell do they expect to appoint that will bring us the success the fans crave when he'll have no money to spend, have to work with a mangerial heiracy that can't mange itself without major infighting. I feel for Rafa I really do.

I'm boycotting the club, those parasites aren't getting a penny of my money after what they've reduced us to.

but he won't come to us anyway as he just signed a contract to Turkey
Besides Chelsea? Australian national side, South Korean national side, Russia, some obscure Turkish side .... the list goes on.

He's never built anything apart maybe the PSV side.

If they felt half as frustrated as I did at some of his man management and his tactics against third tier squads on the road, then I get it. If they were as devastated by the nonsensical pursuit of Gareth Barry and the sale of Alonso as I was, then I get it.

Either way, it seems a lot of people associated with the club are acting on emotion and not on business sense; If Rafa goes, I want a plan in place for improving the club. Without a clear path to improvement, this is utterly stupid.

If I was Rafa and I was reading this information in the press and it was leaked by the club, especially the "lost the dressing room" story, my heels would be dug in a mile deep and I would not walk out the door for less than what my contract demands. No way should he allow himself to be bullied out the door for less than 20% of what is due him. If I were advising him, I would be sure to have him show up for work every day, whistling a happy tune because he has all the cards now; the negotiations have been sabotaged by the club leaking to the press and there is absolutely no reason for him to resign. Pride is for suckers; the £13 million pound difference between the contract and the club's offer is all he needs to talk about. The impact of that money on the club is no longer his problem... I hope he digs in and bleeds Hicks and Broughton for every penny he is due. I know I would. If it's really this way, if it's really just business, then pay me and **** off. No non-disclosure, nothing; fire me, pay me and **** you.

This is really a **** day that ego, emotion and lies have led us to this.
I'm guessing that if he goes quietly for £3m, then we will waive any moneys due from Inter, so they will also pay him a large signing on fee.

              what are you on about?

He was aussie manager for 2 years, which is fairly normal at international level. He was korean manager for 2 years as well. Russian manager for 4 years, hardly what you can describe as short term at international level.

It won't mate, it won't. Kenny is past it, hasn't managed for years and last time he was a disaster. Sammy the same. Both are legends, but no, as managers they don't cut it anymore.

Rafa was our best hope. He was on our side.

We need someone who will remain here for 5+ years, that's the only way to build a football club.

The powers at the club are complete idiots, why give Rafa a 5 year contract, then hand cuff him by removing any finance for players, then try and get rid of him on the cheap.

That's not the point. Why would we be changing anything anyway?
