I am surprised by the amount of almost hypocrtical dramatic reaction to Rafa departure.

Rafas tenure has been enigmatic at best.

We have been tactically brilliant at times yet horribly disoranised at other times.

In the year thatwe won the big one in 2005 we were desperately close to losing in the group stages.

last year we were great but Rafa decided to have his rant and we blew it.

There is no doubt Rafa is a truly talented tactician/scientist of the sport of football, but he is missing something.

Is it the human touch or personality? that would b unkind, but clearly he is a control freak.

I have really tried to suss out Rafa and it is not easy. It is in fact incredibly difficult to pin one particualr weakness upon the guy, but at the end of it all we have failed.

Its too simplisitc to blame the owers as despite what our SOS friends say Rafa has been provided funds.Raf picked our players,not Parry or Puslowe.

Rafa choses which players to sub.

Sometimes it works , sometimes it doesnt.

One phrase for me that Rafa kept repeating never sat right for me.

Every PC he always referred to the supporters.

Obsessionally as though it was planned.

What I want to see is a genuine leader not playing games. I got the impression that Rafa was always palying a game, with the ownership politics, and with everything.

This I believe was his ultimate downfall. He tripped himself up too many time.

Perhaps a lot of the hypocritical dramatics don't agree with your "Rafa playing games" thesis. Perhaps they feel he genuinely loved the club, the fans, and the city, and was one of the only members of Senior management at the club who actually cared what happened to it. And now we've lost that. Brilliant.

Because wanting somebody to Die because of a game of football makes you a cunt and you are probably better than that i am guessing

at the end of the day mate that cunt hasn't put any fans or anyone associated with our club in any regards at all so why the **** should we give a **** about what happens to him. he has got plenty of opportunities to sell up and go, but even the asking price he is putting on a club with £350 million of debt is ludicrous and putting off any potential buyers. Which shows he does not give a **** about the club or anyone who cares about it

It's about as relevant as "Rafa spent 48 minutes doing a big smelly poo at Melwood in January", it simply has nothing to do with us "blowing it". We finished with 10 wins out of the last 11, the only non-win being the crazy 4-4 with Arsenal. Hardly evidence of a team blowing it or choking. Okay we should've won it, but we didn't. But I refuse to accept we blew it.

Anyway, the 'rant' .......I heard Phil Neal today coming out with all this drivel. Says we would have won the league had Rafa not "done that rant" (sic). What ****ing planet must you have to live on to arrive at that conclusion? What evidence is this lunatic theory based on?
