Thanjk you.

I am surprised by the amount of almost hypocrtical dramatic reaction to Rafa departure.
Rafas tenure has been enigmatic at best.
We have been tactically brilliant at times yet horribly disoranised at other times.
In the year thatwe won the big one in 2005 we were desperately close to losing in the group stages.
last year we were great but Rafa decided to have his rant and we blew it.
There is no doubt Rafa is a truly talented tactician/scientist of the sport of football, but he is missing something.
Is it the human touch or personality? that would b unkind, but clearly he is a control freak.
I have really tried to suss out Rafa and it is not easy. It is in fact incredibly difficult to pin one particualr weakness upon the guy, but at the end of it all we have failed.
Its too simplisitc to blame the owers as despite what our SOS friends say Rafa has been provided funds.Raf picked our players, not Parry or Puslowe.
Rafa choses which players to sub.
Sometimes it works , sometimes it doesnt.
One phrase for me that Rafa kept repeating never sat right for me.
Every PC he always referred to the supporters.
Obsessionally as though it was planned.
What I want to see is a genuine leader not playing games. I got the impression that Rafa was always palying a game, with the ownership politics, and with everything.
This I believe was his ultimate downfall. He tripped himself up too many time.
Jacques Brel is alive and well and playing at Anfield
Maybe the fact that dalglish didn't have to much to moan at .....he had souness and rush, gerrard had Lucas and ngog most if time.
Gerrard will go down as one of the greatest English players to not win a premiership for someone of his ilk that's goota hurt!!!
He stayed coz he wanted to do it with us we reward him with 2 yank cunts , I would be a little pissed to
Thats a fair point
But Dalglish never let anything affect his form on the pitch
He could moan at passes, teammates, referees yet still produce week in week out, year on year
We've seen a number of times when Gerrards form has dipped once under Houllier and then last season. Both times hes not been right mentally
If Gerrard goes hes goes, I certainly would not be bending over backwards to persuade him to stay particularly if a big bid came in and he wanted to go
As Carragher said anyone who wants to jump ship can go
Bob Paisley - "This club has been my life. I'd go out and sweep the street and be proud to do it for Liverpool if they asked me to."

When you have two big fat hurdles called Gillett & Hicks constantly jumping into your path its difficult to hop over everything
Benitez isnt blameless but hes the lesser of two (or three) evils in my book

Spot on, the amount of hypocracy here is unbelievable.
Mid way through the season i wanted Rafa out, and to be honest i am glad he has gone. Our football last season was absolutely awful and it was a chore to watch us.
Rafa picked the team and the subs and bought terribly in the transfer market. Alonso leaving was his doing, and that killed us, especially with him thinking that Lucas was up to scratch and spending big bucks on an injured replacement.
I hope the new manager selects lads to play in their favoured positions (Kuyt is not a winger) and is quick to sell the players who make zero impact, such as El Zhar and Lucas.
We may have a limited budget but if we can attract players like Raul and Cole on frees and retain Torres and gerrard we should be a good side again!
Cheers Rafa, thanks for the memories and the good times, you tried your best and bleed for the club, but at the end of the day you never quite got the hang of English football.

Kenny always had a great team around him on and off the pitch even though he was the undoubted star.
Stevie has at times had very little help. I defy anyone to always deliver under those circumstances.
