So if someone can help me out I think this picture would be more fitting if you put a cock in Hicks hand going into Gilette's mouth.

Go and join Inter Rafa! Go to a club whose ambitions are commensurate with their ability.

Knock off Jose's Madrid, Mancs, Arsenal and Chelsea year after year from the Champions League. Make them cry and eat their words.

I dont think we will be in the Champions League for some years now. At least I will be able to take voyeuristic pleasure in watching you shove down some of your detractors quotes. When you lift the European Cup at Wembley, I will raise a glass of wine in your honor.

Rowan - You said ''And how many times at Blackburn? Shearer, Sutton and Flowers (wasn't he a record for a goaly). I can remember his last season with us being a bit shaky too. Sure we got beat off all other teams in the top 3 and bought David Speedie. That said we did spank the Mancs 4 - 0 (or was that the season of the ridonculous Glenn Hysen handball?).''

Well in Dalglish's final FULL season with us when we last won the title - the Top 4 were 1) Liverpool , 2) Aston Villa, 3) Tottenham Hotspur, 4) Arsenal; And our results v them were Aston Villa 1-1 (H) and 1-1 (A), Tottenham Hotspur 1-0 (H) and 0-1 (A), Arsenal 2-1 (H) and 1-1 (A). Against the Mancs that year we were 0-0 (H) and 2-1 (A).

In Kenny's FINAL season with us when he didn't FINISH the term as our manager the Top 4 were 1) Arsenal 2) Liverpool, 3) Crystal Palace ? 4) Leeds United; And our results v them were Arsenal 0-1 (H) and 0-3 (A), Crystal Palace 3-0 (H) and 0-1 (A), Leeds United 3-0 (H) and 5-4 (A). Our results against the Mancs were 4-0 (H) and 1-1 (A - ''the stupid handball Hysen'' game). Whilst resultsthe PREVIOUS seasons Top sides were Aston Villa 2-1 (H) and 0-0 (A), and Tottenham Hotspur 2-0 (H) and 3-1 (A). So no, we definitely DIDN'T get spanked or beaten by ALL the other top sides - bar Arsenal who ALWAYS made it bloody difficult for Kenny when he managed us in that era- back then.

What we WERE starting to get however and what we STILL unfortunately suffer from NOW were odd, inexplicable and downright ridiculous results v teams that until that point HAD been little more than cannon fodder/easy points with defeats against the likes of Crystal Palace, Coventry City (At Anfield!!), Queens Park Rangers (2 of them over the 2 seasons - the 2nd at Anfield), Chelsea, Spurs, Southampton and Nottingham Forest becoming gradually more and more common place with the famous Crystal Palace game in the Cup probably symbolising our shortcomings in that era (as they had by then become all TO apparent) MORE than any other.......

Hope that little lot clears up some of the confusion for you mate.

Im with Nicey, about being totally disillusioned with Football.

Usually - I'd be in the Country when the world cups on... our club would be taking a break looking forward to next season - decent Euro Footie as well as a crack at doing well in the league and the cups... but right now...

                FOOTBALL CAN **** OFF!

I am sick to death of The Americans, David Moores, Christian Purslow and our beloved club being dragged through the ****.

Rafa deserves better... I've read the quotes from most of you... I sense you're all as pissed off as me...

This really sickens me. I love Liverpool Football Club so much.

But I just can't take much more of this ****. The Yanks bought the club to make money out of us all... but, now they realise they can't theyre bleeding us dry and taking us down...

But rest assured... they still have there Cinema Screen TV's their Leather Reclining Chairs... Oh not forgetting the Liverpool FC Mugs (hmmm thats really us guys!!)...

Oh and their private Jets - First Class Travel, 5 Star Hotels and Swanky Limo's

                Greedy ****ing *******s!

Thank god I'm off to France - (I doubt L'equipe will cover this **** going on at LFC)

Well today I am gutted, I thought I was still asleep when I turned ssn on this morning. Feel sorry for Rafa, he's a top man and Liverpool is now in his blood. Looking at the picks of the slim fresh faced young Rafa in 2005 to the slightly red faced, rotund manager we have now, you can see how much stress managing this once great club has put upon him.

I love King Kenny but I fear he wouldn't be able to handle the stress of running the club with all the **** that goes on around it. As a kid I remember having posters up on my wall of Kenny and Rushy I hope if they do come in they can take the club forward, but at the moment I fear for the state of the Liverpool F.C under the ownership of these two cunts.

Thanks Rafa for the great memories of the last 5 years and you'll never walk alone.

Thanks to those two yanks for ripping the heart out of the club piece by piece and leaving it in ruins. Hope your walk is a dark lonely one.

I think he did well because he knew it was a short term thing, and was all about getting the best out of the existing squad. He wasn't needed for transfers or developing youngsters, it was all about the results. In a way he was an ideal caretaker manager, I just have doubts about him doing the role over a longer term.
Pretty much what Shaggy & elrichio said there Craig, he did well given the circumstances but it wasn't pretty and certainly didn't look like a wise longer term option, to me anyway.
