Presumably based on the fact that he was a very successful manager in his first spell, and (if the reports are true and he takes over) he's unlikely to get funds to do the job properly.
The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

Nope, because i wholly believe he is being used as a pawn in the businessmans game.

It's a difficult one for me. I have wanted Rafa replaced for a while, for football reasons only. The off field situation complicates it a lot, but when it comes down to it, whatever the motives, and however **** the process of doing it, I think replacing him is the right thing to do. My expectations for next season are not impacted, I didn't think we'd magically bounce back. All depends who we get and how we start the season really. We will see.

an awful backwards step getting the king in. when did he last manage us? why not george graham? because the game has moved on.

rush well have a look at his coaching career not exactly great.

both club legends both great players the king was a great manager but we are in 2010 time to move forwards not backwards to a legends comfort blanket.

Dano, did you get your money back off that fat fool? I had a similar problem with subs and I'm storing it it to crucify the ****er. I'm still on there, but only fleetingly to keep my eye in.

It does, but the idea of him failing and being sacked and pushed out of the club gives me man tears.

Not worth the risk when he's not got a recent proven history in management.

I really don't think they're arsed about fan backlash, within reason (as it has to be approved by the board) I think they'll make the most economical appointment.

But they own the club, they can get away with murder, they can do what the **** they like. Not sure why people have difficulty coming to terms with ths.

I think there is a major difference. In that the owners can (attempt to) justify not backing a caretaker in the transfer market because they are just here for an undefined short term. Typical ploy by the parasites to stop them having to give money to a manager IMO

Look, as much as we may disagree with the sacking of Rafa, there's nothing we can do about it. I don't agree that the fact that Kenny hasn't managed for years is evidence that he can't manage now. If this is the case, we need to support him and Rushie, not start off with this negative attitude.

The kop will be in full song, King Kenny and Rushie flags will be flying. Lets try and look at the positives.

Only because we let them, one day that will change.

The football side of the club will be decimated as all of Rafa's coaching staff leave on mass.

They don't need a ploy. They aren't going to give the manager lots of money, be that Rafa or someone else. The only ploy may be to try and passify some fans by appointed a legend, but is that such a bad thing?

The reality is the reality, no money. Rafa wouldn't accept it and they're sacking him. There will be no money whoever is in charge.

We'll just have to see what happens. I take your point though
