Sure we got beat off all other teams in the top 3 and bought David Speedie. That said we did spank the Mancs 4 - 0 (or was that the season of the ridonculous Glenn Hysen handball?).''

Well in Dalglish's final FULL season with us when we last won the title - the Top 4 were 1) Liverpool , 2) Aston Villa, 3) Tottenham Hotspur, 4) Arsenal; And our results v them were Aston Villa 1-1 (H) and 1-1 (A), Tottenham Hotspur 1-0 (H) and 0-1 (A), Arsenal 2-1 (H) and 1-1 (A). Against the Mancs that year we were 0-0 (H) and 2-1 (A).

In Kenny's FINAL season with us when he didn't FINISH the term as our manager the Top 4 were 1) Arsenal 2) Liverpool, 3) Crystal Palace ? 4) Leeds United; And our results v them were Arsenal 0-1 (H) and 0-3 (A), Crystal Palace 3-0 (H) and 0-1 (A), Leeds United 3-0 (H) and 5-4 (A). Our results against the Mancs were 4-0 (H) and 1-1 (A - ''the stupid handball Hysen'' game). Whilst resultsthe PREVIOUS seasons Top sides were Aston Villa 2-1 (H) and 0-0 (A), and Tottenham Hotspur 2-0 (H) and 3-1 (A). So no, we definitely DIDN'T get spanked or beaten by ALL the other top sides - bar Arsenal who ALWAYS made it bloody difficult for Kenny when he managed us in that era- back then.

What we WERE starting to get however and what we STILL unfortunately suffer from NOW were odd, inexplicable and downright ridiculous results v teams that until that point HAD been little more than cannon fodder/easy points with defeats against the likes of Crystal Palace, Coventry City (At Anfield!!), Queens Park Rangers (2 of them over the 2 seasons - the 2nd at Anfield), Chelsea, Spurs, Southampton and Nottingham Forest becoming gradually more and more common place with the famous Crystal Palace game in the Cup probably symbolising our shortcomings in that era (as they had by then become all TO apparent) MORE than any other.......

Hope that little lot clears up some of the confusion for you mate.
Dalglish also spent **** loads of money though

He signed Beardsley (a British Transfer record) for £1.9 million and at the same time bought Barnes for £900K, then a few weeks later spent £750K on Ray Houghton

That would be the equivalent of shelling out £60-70 million plus in todays football!!

The following season he resigned Rush for £2.7 million (again record transfer fee) which is probably the equivalent of spending £40 million on todays market

I'm sorry but if Kenny and Rushy get involved we are in massive trouble.
Kenny should stay as the equivilent to Bobby Charlton as a footballing ambassador, plus would the new manager accept Kenny moving 'back upstairs'??

Not that I believe it for a single second mind

The Only way to get rid of fcukers like that is to go hardcore on them and wage Real Guerilla Warfare on them - They will ONLY succumb to repeated and Heavy attacks Not ones that look like they'll get serious and then inexplicably stop ala the Villa Protests and a few more in early 2008. We need to go after them again now and this time? We need to be out for blood. THEIR blood meaning nothing less than their COMPLETE removal from our club For Good.............
Because even if you have some decent ideas tucked away in there, you come as across as being somewhat mentally unhinged in all honestly.

I'm just not sure the way you are putting your point across is going to help it appeal to many people on here at all.

Considering the options Dalglish + a young up and coming manager could be a decent combination. Not sure who would qualify as the later half of the duo though - Southgate perhaps.

If Ballague is right and Rafa isn't being removed due to player power, I would like to see some of them (particularly Gerrard (assuming he stays)) come out and say this themselves.

Remember this day folks, when the best era the club has had in 20 years comes to an end. We won't be anywhere near the Champions league for a while now unless some rich sugar daddy buys us.

Gutted that Rafa is being pushed out like this. He's the best man for the job under the current finiancial restraints and I'm afraid his detractors are going to realise that too over the next season or two. The board are a bunch of ****ing snakes.

                    Tony Adams, surely?

Although it may cost a lot to get him out of his contract with Gabala FC.

                      Oh, very diplomatic.
                      .
Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.

May the Lord bless this post.

The problem is that makes it difficult for whoever takes over. I wish they had made their support clear earlier - once Rafa is gone there is really no point it only adds to the divisions at the club.

He makes a fair point though!

His enthusiasm is admirable but that's not the way to go about things.

There are times for being diplomatic and times for being undiplomatic.

Really? CAN'T storm the pitch? Or won't? The French, Spanish and various other Hot Blooded Latin nations find it easy enough when THEY want something done and correct me if I'm wrong but wasn't there a Pitch invasion at Hull on the LAST day of last season where our very own team played? Oh look THAT was in little old England as well. So much for security eh? It's not a case of us being unable to DO these things - We're AFRAID to - Afraid of the consequences legally and afraid of ruining our teams chances in competitions etc but I'm afraid it's gone FAR beyond that mate and I'll make a wager with you now shall I? I'll bet you that for everyone like you on here that thinks we CAN'T do such things - there's at least 5 people who think we CAN and will HAVE to. What's more I'll bet some of them work for SOS and are planning JUST such action as we speak. It won't be a case of ''we can't/shouldn't do this'' IF the Yanks are here next season mate - because we WILL. Mark My Words - If THAT is the only way to get rid of them, it WILL be done. Just watch.........................

NB: Mass emails might have SOME effect yes but Billboards and Advertisments will do 'nothing' will they? What like they did NOTHING when put up around Liverpool recently? Prompting swift embarrassed denials and covering of tracks from the twin leeches reps'? Or when some were put up in Texas newspapers (prompting even BIGGER denials and retreats on their parts) NOTHING happened did it? And I suppose our US supporters did NOTHING last year to Steve Cohen's sponsors when they ousted HIM? If they got rid of him then WHY not H & G as well? Nothing can be done indeed...

Ok, if you say so. But I think YOU are wrong my friend - I think what has changed isn't the time. It's the fact that a NEW generation of supporters have grown up and now? NOW, they NEED to grow spines to the length their fathers, mothers and Grandparents had - Do you think ANY of them would have stood for this? Of course not - Why do you think that H & G waited until NOW to try it? They're not afraid of us - they're RELYING on us being divided like this, more afraid for the team than to take action and most of all being HOOKED on the team, they are RELYING on our FEAR and ADDICTION to LFC - WE need to educate them otherwise and teach them a lesson they'll NEVER forget..........
