If they leave I don't think it is directly a result of Rafa going. The things are correlated though - all top players and managers want to compete for top honours and that requires investment in the squad. No investment in the squad then no top players or managers will want to hang around.

I never really made up my mind if I wanted him to go or not following our appalling season but now it has happened I cannot help but feel truly gutted.

Its for the best for him though. This season's been tragic and he's contributed towards his own downfall as is always the case. I think he will go to one of the Milan clubs and be a success. He will be a great International manager one day too. But it just wasn't happening for him here anymore
